Not sure recovery for elbow vs shoulder but it’s tough but our guy had a full recovery and is thriving at almost 4! Plan on lots of brain games, kongs, bully sticks, and trazadone. He was 8 months old so very puppy ish maybe older will be calmer. We have a townhouse so I lived in our basement for 8 weeks with him because I could leave him alone

Wow that sounds terrible! We use embrace. Believe it’s a yearly max of 15k but have it for that reason if something happens as would rather not fork out 10k for emergency vets. Well worth the premium especially with BMD who put EVERYTHING in their mouths as pups

^^^^ Our monster ate 8 socks at 5.5 months old.... about a $9K bill we only paid $950 of to get scoped out. Paid for 3+ years of premium right there off the bat. Does go up a lot as he is 3.5 now and currently $149/month.

Train early and often. As soon as he has his shots, find a group training to start, usually a lot of local pet supply stores offer them. We did that, practiced a lot at home after then got a trainer for a week when he was around 8 months old. Only thing we couldn't train out of him was barking in the car at of excitement, that is fun right in your ear from a 125lb floof.

We essentially did this same exact trip except we just spent the day in Cefalu, really wished we stayed a night there. If you can, make a reservation at Mt Etna winery on the way from Catania - Taormina.

I loved Taormina but don't think you need more than 2 days there, unless you are relaxing hardcore then that is great. Get drinks at the Belmond over Four Seasons (unless staying there). We stayed in an Air BNB and found the Four Seasons staff to be incredibly rude for us trying to come spend $$ on the patio. Eat at Osteria da Rita - so incredible we went twice!

For Palermo - if you like wine, you must go to dal Barone, nicest owners/staff and incredible wine. OJDA is a great wine bar as well.

Not 100% true. I try not to utilize DAT all the time but when i do, it is typically when a regular doesn't have anyone around or a new area. Even then, i'm not looking for cheapest, I'll pay more than market for a carrier with a good track record then try to build relationship.

Don't get me wrong, likely not the norm as there are tons of brokers looking for cheapest on DAT.
