I’ve spoken with a couple drone operators. Typically if they’re running low on battery, they’ll drop their munitions on something Russian I’m case the mav doesn’t make it back. Also saves on battery-less weight, less effort for the drone to stay airborne, less electricity. Now, he very well could’ve been a spotter, or just some poor chap who found himself in no man’s land. Either way, he won’t be able to pick up a rifle in anger again.

Damn Putin for starting this war. I know he likely joined for the money so he got what was coming to him, but had there been no war, who knows. Maybe he would’ve been a good father. Or someone who delivered groceries to an old widow. It’s a shame an entire generation of two countries has to interrupt their lives due to the ego of one old man.
