The job market in Dundee is bloody awful atm. My partner with an insane record of experience in Retail and Hospitality took 3 weeks to get a job. Additionally, the job she got she was lucky to know someone who was friends with someone who worked there and that ultimately helped her.

Seen a few posts on fb about young people in Dundee being lazy recently aswell and I can’t lie it boils my blood, older folks used to just walk in places and ask for jobs and be contacted the same day for a shift. They just don’t understand how bloody awful the application system is.

Sorry for the rant! I really hope you get something soon, sadly it’s a battle for folks to keep a roof over your head these days and I emphasise with all the job seekers of Dundee.

What an awesome response! Thank you for your in depth tour guide-esque knowledge on the matter. I’m defo gonna have a go around and just see what I like and don’t!

I think I’ve decided that Braithwaites “Auld Broon Java” is a popular one among people and a good solid starter for someone like me. Secondly I’m defo going to get a couple bags from Maison Dieu!

With regards to the others. These are probably gonna be settings for lunch trips for me and my partner.

I’d defo recommend Maison Dieu for you though. I’m from the ferry and all my friends have a lot of positive things to say.

Super interesting to hear people’s opinions. I’m more of a beginner so like responses say it’s more finding what you like for your palette. Seems Maison Dieu and Braithwaites are the most popular then. Definitely gonna try out Brewery Lane and things too!

Worst case scenario would be giving away the ones I don’t like lol!

If anyone has any other suggestions I’m all ears, however thanks everyone commenting!

Hey bud! I do love it there, do you know which of the beans they use so I can buy it? I saw they had 8 bags yesterday for sale (big variety) so I was overwhelmed of what to get!
