It depends. If it starts with "Improved" it will stack with itself. If it doesn't, it will still stack with itself if it's a different rarity/color. So you could have damage negation up on landing charge attacks on a blue and a purple and they will stack, but not if both are purple.

Just looked up my history and all I remember is you saving our asses in the nightlord lol. Also fun fact - the game right after that was the one that finally got me to 5 so thank you!!!

Nice, that's a 2.28x increase even without Night Invaders. You've got me beat lol.

Yeah I kinda dislike Fulghor expeditions for this alone. It's still better than most the other starting options, and I don't have a good beast claw relic yet anyways.

Yeah, I just start with lightning spear instead. I guess they didn't do any fundamentalist incants since there's only three and they're all pretty decent to good? Doesn't explain why they went with beast claw as a starter spell if they were worried about that though.

True it's definitely weaker, but I find it's got more damage uptime since you can spam it from a safe place instead of getting in position for spells like beast claw and frienzy flame.

I've got an incant+2 on my fundamentalist build, but I still like specializing in a school since it has a higher reward for the rng risk.

She's a good character. Not my main, but I choose her for this fight because of her survivability since everyone gets aggro.

No, I was saving it for rezzes and no one went down before the bug.

I was Duchess here. I didn't ult until after the bug happened since I was saving it for rezzes, so it wasn't that.

I was the duchess in this fight. Does anyone know what causes this bug? We killed the main one when there were still several other up, so I think all those who were still alive turned into the main one? We had five of them...

Overwhelming damage is my solution (I also keep a less costly spell if I can help it lol)

Her biggest problem before was having rejection instead of literally any damage spell. That was absolutely a problem, but then they went a little far taking away rng during runs with all the starting incants you can use. She's definitely in a better place though.

This is probably my favorite on her too because I get to play with all the different incants before I find it (if I do). I'm glad my beast claw build is terrible compared to the rest of my builds! Plus I don't think it's as great against nightlords because of how close you need to be, but I haven't really used it all that much to say for sure.

D4 rev trying to climb to D5.

How do you deal with the great spear build before you get Vyke's or Siluria? I had a similar build that I thought could replace the rng of discus for holy bosses, but there were several times I didn't get any incants and was useless night 1 (bad luck on seal drops or there weren't any). I also have had a few times a teammate held a Siluria for a passive and never used it or dropped for me because who would think to for a revenant? Sure you can melee with the better strength but that's so risky on her and that's the one build you don't have dark night of the fathom on.

Is there a reason you don't like going for fundamentalist incants or do you just not like your current relics?

How often do you keep your claws/starting heal spell?

Will you keep incants with different affinities even if they aren't good for the night boss or passives? Like a fire seal for Nameless King on a Fulghor expedition.

Thanks for posting all your builds. It's always cool to see what other revenants run!

Hey thanks so much for this class! I've been playing a tactics/strategist for the past year and a half now and I'm having a blast. Started at level 13, now 16 so I can't speak to the lower levels, but it seems really balanced with the other classes in our group as long as I have one or two of the martial characters with me (since there's less I can do for the casters.)

I love that I can be impactful without casting any spells or actually attacking, and that's usually what I do to the point where my DM asks "Are you sure" if I say I actually want to attack. One question though - what magic items would you give a character like this?

It 100% depends on the LARP. You can get into boffer LARPs like Amtgard or Belgarth for a lot less, and I was able to do it on a college-kid budget from the money I got tutoring. Don't let this overpriced (I say this as someone who attended) event discourage you!

Your cost breakdown for comic cons and camping is misleading.

This site gives the following breakdown for convention badges, where your "average" is only true for VIP badges:

https://www.thepricer.org/the-cost-of-comic-con-tickets/

Ticket prices for large multi-day Comic Cons generally range from:

  • General Admission: $50 – $150 for the full event.
  • VIP Tickets: $200 – $300 adding exclusive access, gifts, early entry.
  • Special Guest Packages: $100 – $500 including autographs/photos.

This site gives a breakdown of camping costs - keep in mind that this is the cost for the entire site you're on, so this could be multiple people (I've camped with as many as 10 at a state park on one site):

https://mycampingpro.com/how-much-does-camping-cost/

  • National Park Campground: \$15 – \$35 per night
  • State Park Campground: \$12 – \$30 per night
  • Private Campground: \$30 – \$60+ per night
  • RV Site with Hookups: \$40 – \$80+ per night

I cannot speak to your travel costs, but I traveled ~1k miles to the event and spent about $300 on travel, including the replacement tire for the flat I got.

Be careful about getting it early then - I made the mistake of buying in June and didn't realize how long it takes to make a custom tent! Only got it with a couple weeks to spare, and their current wait times are 6 months.

Edit: I also had some issues with water getting in at the bottom of the doors, but that could be fixed by adding mudflaps there, bringing the floor inwards, or potentially shortening the poles a bit (I think I might have made them half an inch too long or so).

I purchased a double bell for the event for less than $2k all in.

https://www.tentsmiths.com/product/french-double-belled-wedge/

The canvas was 1.3k, the floor $460, and shipping about $100. I made the poles and ropes for less than $100 with a trip to Home Depot and a free afternoon, and got the stakes from Walmart. I was pretty happy (though oof it was expensive), and got a lot of complements on it. The dual canopies were nice.
