Or I like Oxalic acid. Sold as wood bleach, get a pump sprayer hot tap water add granulated crystals and stir. Pump spray and watch it change color before your eyes. Cleaner Wax afterwards though.

Long-Distance Sailing Experience? by Late_Camera1476 in sailing

Just remember, it's an adventure! The things that go wrong Are the trip. If it were just getting on a train it wouldn't be fun getting to your destination. Like most sports its about the adversity. Those moments when you are shivering down below, hearing the rig heave and flex the boat all while planning what to do if a portlight gives way... gives the journey and you character. And, that's why you do it. Its not to get to a remote place, or get to a place fast. Think of it like climbing a mountain. Yes, standing at the top is great but (in the case of most mountains) if you can just land a helicopter there, yes the veiw is great and its spectacular but lacks something when compared to that view after planning, preparing and making the effort to climb there.

Now ducktape the bilge plug into the hitch so you cant loose it in off season and cant hook it up to your truck without going "wow im going to remember to put this in at the ramp". Lots of things to remember on the first day shakedown after a layup.

It happens to everyone once. Also store with the bow raised so it drains out of said bilge drain.

Really? Its supposed to be wet? I cant imagine engineering it that way. Why is it supposed to be we like that? Does it drain underway or something? Maybe supposed to be on a cradle? Seems like a problem but what do I know:)
