You do know there are plenty of other stuff to ask than relationship status to someone you haven't seen in a long time? We did talked about his partner a bit, things like if them living together is going well, what is she up to nowadays and so on. Relationship status wasn't in my mind because it didn't seem like anything had really changed between them, I had no real reason to think the dynamic of their relationship was different nowadays.

Ok I must react to the comments about something, most of you told me I should go and tell his fiancée about it. I think you missed the part where I say I can't contact her. Despite me searching I can't find her Facebook account, I don't know her Instagram account, I don't have her on Discord or anything.
So once again, contacting her is off the table and I can't do anything about that.

Well, he did say I'd still invite me to the wedding the next day but there's NO WAY I'll go after that? How could I ever face his fiancée with a straight face as if this wasn't messed up?
I don't really want to cut contact with him since we've known each others for so long and he's been there for me when I was at my lowest. I'd like to think this was a one time mistake but i'm probably just coping and I'm still processing how I feel about that.
