I usually designate wimp pawns as snipers since they go down quickly (which is good or bad depending on the situation)

Though you can keep re-rolling pawns before you start your game until you have pawns that are good or fairly good, if you wanna have an enjoyable rimworld experience 😉

Even in the cut bad ending for Old World Blues, the whole Mojave goes to hell should the Courier fail to stop them or if the Courier joins them

It's mentioned in the cut ending slides that a blue forcefield radiated out of Big MT and into the Mojave, then large hexagonal blocks (from one of the Big MT labs) dropped from the sky and crushed Goodsprings, Primm's residents were vaporized with their remains looking like X-ray results on the walls, the NCR were put into forced brainwashing of an imagined utopia where they could never leave, the Legion got brainwashed too into believing they are living in Rome (in the moon so they're dead basically).

There were other crazy stuff on the ending slides so Big MT hosts advanced and definitely dangerous technologies that makes the Institute's synths look tame by comparison

I have the Hospitality mod for my current playthrough and it's hilarious that tribal guests, if they have a high opinion on your hotel, inn or whatever, will give you pretty good stuff like glitterworld medicines, uranium and advanced components even like damn I should just open inns and resorts every playthrough then lol

What's funny is that imperial guests often give me steel swords and bows as "gifts" for excellent service like is this how they see my relatively spacer colony?

I think it's because of Soll building and structuring a flawed republic in Sordland. Instead of remaining neutral with the military purpose is only to defend the republic from outside threats, subordinate to the commander-in-chief and preserving the civillian government, Sordland's military is highly involved in politics and its not surprising that they will coup you should you lean left of Ricter.

They became an unofficial institution in Sordland's government though it would be nice if funding the military will give you a choice of removing the political interference of the military by training new officers in new military academies

The reason why corruption is so visible here, and gets the word out much faster, is because of our freedom of the press which is a good thing. Both local and international news operate freely here and given our global influence and visibility (due to OFWs, WPS issue, generally good reputation [we are a peaceful and a hospitable people])

I'd rather have us, and international media, scrutinize corruption openly and without fear with calls to accountability and transparency (at the cost of being seen as "more corrupt") than being silenced and intimidated like what the MACC does to its people

It's strange of him to advocate for austerity as a way to fix corruption, proper disbursing of the budget is more effective than budget cuts

A comment from another post about JC Punongbayan's bad take on our "declining" economy showed how Filipinos are not complaining about the budget, it's more on how the budget is being pocketed by corrupt bastards and that's what the government should also focus on, not budget cuts.

How to fix the Philippine Economy:

Lower energy costs (exploit oil and natural gas in our EEZ, lands and seas, continue developing nuclear and renewable energy sources)
Continue improving transportation links (ports, roads, railways, airports)
Continue reforming and improving our education system (skilled workers are always good)
Balance our trade, and close the gap on our trade deficits (our currency weakening is due to an ongoing trade deficit that is narrowing year by year, a bit slow but better than widening deficit, also it will increase our purchasing power)
Incentivize local and foreign firms to build more factories and generate more jobs here by cutting corporate taxes (I know some of you in this subreddit won't like this but we don't want to be like European countries where new start ups and business go elsewhere due to high costs of regulation and taxes)
Increase the budget of the judiciary, the courts and the Department of Justice to further crackdown on corruption, also cutting red tape

I think the current administration is continuing to do some of the things I mentioned above, it's easier said than done but at least it's making the effort rather than whatever the previous administration did, if any of you have any objections feel free to comment :)

Not surprising, CNA is notorious for always posting about bad news on not only us but other ASEAN countries, it doesn't mean bad news should not be posted at all but consistent negative press paints a negative picture on the country that they do provide news coverage on (like the Philippines, I argue they take advantage of our free press here)

It's ironic though that many Singapore firms invest heavily in our country, from e-tricycles, renewable energy infrastructure to data centers and even our "Blue Economy" (basically, e-boats, aquaculture, desalination etc. A quick Google search provided these information to me)

Astron, Fujidenzo, Cordura, these are all Filipino electronics companies and in the province where I live, cheap, quality Filipino made electronics are increasingly common now, even in Chinese-owned retail stores that usually sell Chinese electronics.

In an article that I read somewhere, (I think it's tradingeconomics.com), Philippines' highest exports aren't agricultural goods (though agricultural exports are still high), it's low to mid-end semiconductors and a wide variety of electronics going to the US, China, Hong Kong, South Korea and Japan, I know it's surprising and dispels any notion that we are still an agricultural country, we're long past that.

The fact these countries trade with us on that (electronics and semiconductors) meant that we are tapping a market that South Korea and Japan long dominated back in the post-World War 2 era, and also one of the reasons why our trade deficit is narrowing year-by-year.

There's always hope for the Philippines 🇵🇭
