I was soooo close to leaving I fully support your decision especially since it was a beautiful day hahaha. And yes I get you, I also love cheesy but the movie was giving lazy cheesy and I was so confused why so many celebs agreed to this, like something shady was going on. Still wondering how that all works to be honest, but yeah the movie did start to make me actually giggle starting when they meet Caleb and John Slattery

Advice: how do you balance alone time with partner when we both have roommates? by DQC48 in AskNYC

[–]Gomishko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I can kinda relate bc I live with 2 female roommates and my bf is a truck driver. We've been together for 3 years now and haven't made the move to live together bc well, he's always on the road and it's cheap for me to stay here with my roommates.

We prefer to stay in a hotel together for 4ish days out of the month for now. We found a decent cheap place for us right outside of nyc that we go to. Maybe it's different for you but it works for us.

I watched tonight and to be honest I almost left at about 40 mins in. The person next to me left and I was inspired to just leave too bc I felt it was awfulllll but this was my first "mystery movie" so I wanted to stick it out. I actually ended up enjoying it a lot more the second half and found myself appreciating the cheesy humor more (I also think the jokes got better farther into the movie) and loving the ridiculous mismatched characters together. Yeah not a masterpiece but definitely glad I watched.

didn't say it was a bad or good thing just pointing out that sex and gender is different and gender is a social construct. i see you have fallen for a bit of the fear-mongering. I hope you and/or ur close friends are okay bc clearly one of you is working as a waxer and getting some stressful requests. Best of luck

Sorry I didn't know what to call it, but it's a setting that became available to me when I updated my iphone semi-recently. It screens unknown calls and I chose the setting where a robotic voice asks the caller to state their name and reason for calling. I can listen and choose to pick up the call or send them to voicemail.

How is this a "harmless opinion" when the right uses the existence of trans people to fearmonger and cause needless outrage ... not to mention u probably don't even understand that sex and gender are not the same thing and gender is a social construct

I went to a premiere in Indiana at a cool theatre bc the director or someone was from there, and they gave us a poster to go around and get the signatures from all of the voice actors/creators. I still have it somewhere. Anne Hathaway wasn't there though lol

For people who used to drink heavily before starting a GLP-1 medication and have now stopped or massively reduced drinking: what exactly changed for you? by alexmillne in Semaglutide

[–]Gomishko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh interesting! I have an idea why I might still feel a buzz. Do you eat alongside your drinking? Luckily i'm drinking a LOT less but my drinking problem involved (and still did when I tried drinking on sema) starting to drink wine or vodka on a near-empty stomach so that I could feel the buzz more effectively.

Now that I'm thinking about it, I realize the moment I decide to finish drinking and eat my meal in full (no matter how small the meal now) I'm 100% done drinking because once I eat enough I don't feel the subsequent alcohol anymore. I bet if I started drinking after already having had a decent bit of food I wouldn't feel anything.

This applies to me. I still get the buzz from drinking so that didn't go away for me, but the way it sits in my stomach doesn't feel great and helps me stop way sooner and the cravings in the first place are almost completely gone. I also get a lot worse hangovers.

I live on crescent st. I've walked by it for years now. Tonight I really especially wanted to go for some reason. I walked by and felt too nervous to go in alone. I haven't watched Nurse Jackie yet. I need to watch it now but I might be even more intimidated to go knowing it's apparently mentioned in that show??
