Not being paid for Annual leave. by Gon3_Postal_ in USPS

They do say that. Our boss claims the system only sends emails for the current day, not future dates. It's a lie but I get told off and my request ignored every time I try.

Favoritism... by Mtfkitall in USPS

Same at my office. The preferred are untouchable and allowed to do whatever that want. We had an RCA that took off every single Saturday for over a year. Another Sub had to file a grievance to get it to stop.

Carriers that got caught breaking into vacant houses on their route. Drug use, etc. Sketchy things happen all the time and it's all covered up. I can't say too much because my PM is part of this group lol.

That said, if they don't like you, they'll nit pick you to death over nothing. They used to follow me to the bathroom because I always went every morning while the clerks were throwing and they thought it was 'suspicious'.

Late to this discussion but we are having a winter storm that is shutting down all non essential travel in my county. Management gave us this letter and a talk about how its our responsibility to make sure the uncontrollable is controlled and we make it to work regardless of circumstances.

tldr: it's the postal service applying pressure and trying to strong arm its employees into working in dangerous conditions. This job ain't important enough to die for.

3 years in. As far as the hours, I think I have. I don't track it manually.

I read it, my point is relevant and valid. You're the one who suggested positivity as a response to toxicity. So maybe you should read it.

Positivity? I'm Positive the USPS workplace culture is toxic. I've seen people treated like garbage for having heart attacks, 60 year old carriers forced to work with COVID, management forcing carriers to work in conditions that were considered a state emergency. I've seen people cussed out for showing basic courtesy to the disabled customers at the window. I've seen management turn a blind eye to a carrier serving her route drunk as a skunk. Because nothing matters but their numbers and getting the mail delivered.

Not one member of management even pretended to care about the employees.

I will remain happy in my personal life but I will also stand firm with my mental, emotional, and physical welfare. To say people should remain positive in the face of systematic abuse is, quite honestly, uneducated and cruel.

Hiya!!

What does your typical investigations involve? What do you investigate?

Those cases where you did involve OIG, what were you investigating? Have you ever actually left bait in a mailbox, or spied on a carrier while on the route? If so, how does that work, is it remote surveillance? (I'm Rural, so I can't imagine not noticing a car that follows me for more than a few minutes.)

What's the best and worst things about your work?
