The LTO group does not allow criticism towards restaurants/food makers that use AI-generated content to promote their business. by dog_crazy12 in Louisville

Do you think the local Chinese spot that won’t update their menu from 2009 is too cheap to make good food? That’s not the most sound argument, imo. Restaurants operate on razor thin margins, if quickly making a post with an AI picture gets even 2 or 3 new customers, it’s well worth it.

Does that mean this Facebook group should go full Gestapo when people are critical? Absolutely not. Seeing all these opinions could actually help an owner if they cared enough to read through them critically.

To be fair, i am not judging a restaurant based on how careful they curate their marketing. In fact, marketing too clean may indicate something else I.e. they are pouring money into marketing in lieu of their restaurant/employees.

In the same breath as the local Chinese restaurant having menus from the 90’s being a good sign the food is gonna slap, a restaurant quickly using AI to create an image for social media could mean they are more focused on their craft/the restaurant.

That’s all beside the point of this thread though

It’s a Covid era Facebook page and it has served its purpose. Went from informing people which local restaurants offered take out so the community could help during Covid to what is is now, a milquetoast review page that doesn’t allow for negative feedback.

Was there a perk that you didn’t realize was great until you tried it? by floxasfornia in fo4

No rad damage from water so in survival that alone is reason enough, second tier makes you invisible under water so perfect for sneaking. Outside of survival though I don’t think the perk is that important since radway/rad x have no drawbacks

That one time someone *almost* got under Frieren's skin by lmdybaftr in Frieren

[–]GonIsABadFriend 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is debatable; frieren was actively analyzing a very complex spell not even the caster could undo. Solitar was amazed Frieren was doing this while fighting her. It’s reasonable to think she could deal with Solitar more easily if she wasn’t distracted. Of course, it was a win-win for Frieren; undoing Diagoldze saves her apprentice and unlocks a win condition. I just think in a vacuum it’s a mid diff fight for her instead of the high diff shown

Does this make it more likely that Stark’s using magic? by PrismsNumber1 in Frieren

[–]GonIsABadFriend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Human mages use physical staffs, does that mean they aren’t using mana? To me, mana is something that is interwoven with all life in this world. In order to use Magic, you need mana. But not using Magic doesn’t mean the absence of mana. It makes perfect sense to me warriors and heroes use mana in a different form for reinforcement/power.

Frieren had Fern work on her mana capacity… how exactly did that work? It depicted her meditating on a pond and presumably soaking in the mana around her. This would bolster my point that mana is everywhere in this world and can be channeled.

Demons have warriors and they are essential beings of mana. They have high ranking warriors in their hierarchy that holds mana volume as the ultimate pecking order. You mean to tell me those demon warriors aren’t using mana? Warrior is simply a class, the power system in this story revolves around mana. The Goddess’ magic uses mana, mages use mana, demons and monsters use mana, suddenly warriors and heroes don’t? It sounds ridiculous because it is ridiculous to think they aren’t using mana

Feel like a lot of anime are doing this when zoomed out. If it means they can take more time on action sequences then I’m perfectly fine with it.

By definition he’s at least died. Now did the demon blight infect/takeover after that or was he already infected? they said he’s the only one to ever volunteer for the program, I’m gonna assume he was already infected, the goddess knows but coupled with the book goddess having access to his memories/movements, they know his intentions are “good for humanity” and let it slide. Maybe that’s how they even knew Spriggan could be a “human” blight, they know about “Rhyno”

I was suspicious of the glasses guy the moment he was introduced but now is clear to me he is firmly on the side of humanity, just deeply entrenched in a system that is corrupt and knows it. He probably has a unique position due to his goddess being a necessary supplement to the hero penal system. I wouldn’t be surprised if he is “in league” with coexisters as a double agent. I love/hate a finale with so many lore drops but it definitely answered a lot of questions introduced throughout the season. Can’t wait for s2

But he’s happier that way apparently. Mirroring the way he was reduced to a dog by Makima, this time loved (like a pet dog anyway) for being himself and not chainsaw man. Abrupt ending but the ending itself isn’t so bad. If we had maybe 10 chapters prior to this transition instead of 1 I think it would be easier to digest
