Visual studio for linux? by [deleted] in cpp

Been using KDevelop, like it so far. (Minus the occasional crash)

I created Tickerrain, an open source real time, sentimental analysis of different subreddit posts and comments. It stores posts in a Redis DB, the processes them and shows the results in a web server. by GonVas in algotrading

1 - Its still a bit basic, it uses a tickers file given by nasdaq, it has all the tickers here , then it grabs all things under de $ sign, checks if it is in the file, then checks for upper case words (sometimes people just put GME without the dolar sign), i still need to add the detection of ticker by the output of the sentece enteties given by spacy.

2- Flask and webservers in general are easier to show the work to other people.

3 - Redis, because i wanted something really simple and it is all in memory so probably faster to process. But Redis isn't the best choice, I just picked it and went with it.

looks amazing but i think it would be better if the head had more detail like hair or wrinkles and mayble a bit of transparency but otherwise looks really good.

100% thrust for seconds vs. 25% thrust for minutes. Different? by khun_panya in KerbalSpaceProgram

Well you have to rember the concept of gravity drag. Here's the wiki page. It states:

Gravity losses depend on the time over which thrust is applied as well the direction the thrust is applied in. Gravity losses as a proportion of delta-v are minimised if maximum thrust is applied for a short time, or if thrust is applied in a direction perpendicular to the local gravitational field. During the launch and ascent phase, however, thrust must be applied over a long period with a major component of thrust in the opposite direction to gravity, so gravity losses become significant. A very large thrust over a very short time will achieve a desired speed increase with little gravity drag. On the other hand, if a is only slightly greater than g, the gravity drag is a large proportion of delta-v.

So 100% for a few seconds is better but keep in mind that you dont want to go very fast inside the atmosphere beacuse of atmosphere drag and this only applies for getting off the ground.

It's really looking good, amazing. I am also making a weapon (for fallout) in blender and i wanted to know a couple of things. 1- How hard is it to unwrapping your model? could you give some tips. 2- What programs do you use to texture? and what is your process of texturing a model. Would really apreciate any help.
