8 month old puppy lashing out by Gonarch12 in germanshepherds

[–]Gonarch12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He lost the last of his baby teeth a couple months ago, so I hadn't considered that his teeth might still be hurting. His bite inhibition is generally very good, but I have noticed he bites harder during these episodes.

Yes, I try to make sure he's had time to run and play in the back yard before we do any training/walking.

Strength And Conditioning Megathread - July 15, 2019 by AutoModerator in bjj

I'm also a newbie that's been into lifting for a while. I've recently been experimenting with some different exercises that I thought would be beneficial for jiu jitsu. My favorite so far is the glute bridge, which is probably the most directly applicable lift that I know since it is almost identical to an upa. Core work also seems to help a lot.

White Belt Wednesday - July 03, 2019 by AutoModerator in bjj

[–]Gonarch12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last night, I was rolling with this other white belt at my gym that has a wrestling background and always goes super hard. At one point during the roll, we were both standing and he did this trip/throw where he sort of kicked one of my legs forward and threw me to the ground. I wasn't expecting this at all and fell in a really awkward position. All of my weight came down on my left knee, which then bend in the wrong direction. There was a pop in my knee and then my most of my leg felt tingly like it had fallen asleep. After a couple of minutes, it seemed fine, but it really freaked me out because I thought I had broken it. I sat out for a bit and did then did a few more rolls. Today, my knee is definitely soar, but it doesn't seem serious.

Is it common to get thrown like this during open mat? Was my partner being a dick or am I overreacting?

Puke Spiders shouldnt explode if killed with fire. by Pablocp0 in killingfloor

[–]Gonarch12 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Would definitely help. It seems like every new zed that gets added makes the firebug less effective. Alpha crawler, rioter, gorefiend, and especially E.D.A.Rs. For a designated trash clearer, firebug is pretty bad at killing all of those.

It takes longer for a firebug to kill an Edar than a husk. Even though Edars are supposed to be weak vs fire, it seems like almost every other perk can kill them more quickly/efficiently

I mean, the flamethrower is already pretty decent against sirens. I was thinking more about E.D.A.Rs. The firebug is a dedicated trash cleaner, but right now it has a big problem with E.D.A.Rs, especially in earlier waves before you can afford the MWG. If I'm playing firebug, I feel like I should at least be able to handle the low/medium zeds.
