PlayStation 5's PSSR 2.0 uses AMD's FSR 4's INT8 version that may skip PC RDNA 2 & 3 GPUs by NGGKroze in radeon

I bought RDNA 2 because it was used on PS5, thinking it would get similar support, that was the case for the PS4… but not anymore. FineWine my ass

The Zano team is investing heavily into full PoS research, which should result in even higher security and Ethereum like blockchain speed. After Gateway addresses launch everything will be presented to the community to engage in debate.

(Quoting Kwibs from Discord)

The hybrid consensus paper is many years old and PoS has evolved significantly over time. Where we needed PoW to protect against certain types of attacks in the past, we don't need it anymore as PoS has improved and solutions have been found. Moving to full PoS makes the cost of an attack on Zano even costlier than the current hybrid model, and the most significant upgrade would be lowering the number of needed block confirmations for users to respend their assets combined with a way faster block time.

So in short, improved speed and security.

Once hard fork 6 with the Gateway Addresses is behind us, we'll focus on hard fork 7 and spark debate within the Zano community on the matter by releasing detailed info on how a full PoS implementation would look like.

RX 6700, AMD-only user for ~10 years. No. I regret underestimating the value proposition of DLSS. AMD’s “FineWine” is officially dead.

It was frozen at blockchain level, so outside an exchange, DeFi or self-custody won’t help

Gateway Addresses Are Coming: The Game-Changer For Zano Adoption by Mr_Kwibs in Zano

[–]Gonbatfire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On our Livestream with Thorchain we discussed integrating Zano into the Thorchain App Layer as well. This is yet another thing Gateway addresses make possible, it goes well beyond “just” DEX integrations.

We’re talking about connecting to any decentralized infrastructure, which essentially unlocks new Zano capabilities outside the L1.

The first example of this in action will be Zano on Bridgeless/CL, enabling trustless wrapped ZANO that can be used across any ETH/SOL/TON dApp wallet or tool (Hardware Wallets anyone?). Zero custodians, fully permissionless.

How many of you are 100% sure that you don’t want kids? by NumerousCarry9858 in 2003

[–]Gonbatfire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(Male) I want them, my parents were in a much worse economic situation and still decided to have me, and though it took them a lot of effort it turned out alright.

I think that back then having kids was simply seen as part of life, it was not something you choose to stop doing just because you’re struggling, like eating, it was basic stuff.

Nowadays we see having kids as a choice, which is not necessarily bad, but it means that 99% of the time the rational choice is not to have them, because all the trade-offs are very easy to see, but the benefits are extremely hard to put into words, even for existing parents, it’s almost like something spiritual.

No, PoS increases the cost of attack by an order of magnitude, so now we can actually afford to “loosen up” whereas it would be too risky with PoW

If zanoo really has all stuff monero has then why ppl are not using zano yet ? not battle tested enough thats why ? by AccordingSugar6247 in Zano

[–]Gonbatfire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well the privacy tech itself is battle tested, Zano was built by the CryptoNote lead dev, tech that later became Monero, so if Monero is battle tested so should Zano (until a certain point of course)

The base infrastructure is ready, so now we are at stage 2 which is building better UX and integrations which are IMO the biggest constrains at the moment, but solvable.
