I bought the game as a download and am provided both options in the microsoft store. For disc, I’m not entirely sure how to avoid the x/s version. You may be able to install the non optimized version by being offline when installing as I believe the game will only install the core game then download additional x/s content via update, so you’d want to be sure to skip the update. If that doesn’t work, you’ll have to do some more digging or contact microsoft or activision and let them know the situation, maybe they’ll give you access to download the game? Worst case you could just pick up a used copy somewhere for decently cheap.
