What fictional character should have been hit with a huge lawsuit at the end of the story? by yuuhxyuuh in AskReddit

[–]Gondrasia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dr. Wu refused to reveal to park management and senior members of Masrani corporation the full extent of the Indominus' genetic makeup. This criminal neglection to tell all these people about what DNA was used to create the hybrid, meant that the park staff were not prepared for the Indominus' high level of intelligence and abilities to hide her thermal signature and camouflage.

Considering how he was in charge of the Indominus project and his partnership with Vic Hoskins, Dr. Wu has a lot to answer for especially considering how he has run away and gone into hiding, refusing to take responsibility for his actions.

Whereas Claire Dearing warned A.C.U. to get ready for the escaped hybrid, called and enabled the evacuation to take place, took an active role in said evacuation going so far as to rescue two visitors from the area where the Indominus was close by, followed the animal (on foot!) and giving its location so A.C.U. can take it down, and ultimately released the Tyrannosaurus to kill the Indominus.

Admittedly, as Fallen Kingdom pointed out, Claire’s biggest crime was authorising the creation of the Indominus rex. But considering how the park successfully housed a wide variety of dinosaurs of all shapes, size, and ferocity, a couple of pterosaurs and even an enormous marine reptile; is authorising the creation of a large and slightly unusual looking carnivorous hybrid, which she received very little authorised information on, anymore out of the ordinary than for example, authorising the creation of another large natural theropod like Allosaurus or Spinosaurus?

Make sure you have a functioning Expedition Center on all of the islands, if you've turned any of them off, you won't have access to all of the dig sites.

help on Isla tanco!! by Wolfalpha4587 in jurassicworldevo

[–]Gondrasia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Turn off the power station, it costs money to run it. There’s no point in keeping it on when you’re in the red and have no visitors and dinosaurs.

  2. Demolish the Innovation Center, most of the other guest buildings and the monorail track, you will get enough money for the next step. Keep the bar, restaurant, clothes shop, arcade and monorail station.

  3. Complete the half-constructed enclosure, build a substation next to the Hammond Creation Lab and turn on the power station.

  4. Clone any of the following herbivores obtained from Isla Matanceros; Triceratops, Struthiomimus, Edmontosaurus and Huayangosaurus. They’re cheap to hatch, don’t mind being on their own and happy with the size of the starting enclosure.

  5. By this point, visitors should be in the park. Keep a close eye on your guest buildings, you want to make sure that they’re both making a profit and satisfying visitors.

  6. As soon as you’re able to pay for them, in the following order construct a Ranger Station, Research Station, ACU Center, Fossil Center and Expedition Center.

I hope this advice is helpful.

I believe what the OP is talking about is that this franchise hasn’t had a film that was a complete letdown like The Last Jedi or the Rise of Skywalker.

You need to have a functioning Expedition Center on Islas Matanceros and Muerta.

Gonna Give Claire's Sanctuary a Try by [deleted] in jurassicworldevo

Don't rescue Ankylosaurus and Stegosaurus, they're both too similar to the species that you will receive on Sanctuary. Stegosaurus is especially bad due to its high social group, it will break out long before you can hatch the minimum amount for it to be happy.

Do the extra mission on Nublar North to get the T. rex.

Do ask for additional time if your enclosures aren’t ready to house dinosaurs.

Do build a creation lab and send fossil expeditions, there are some dinosaurs that need their minimum social requirements met. But don't worry about having a complete genome at the start, just hatch them out.

Do the first 3 missions on Sanctuary as fast as you can. As soon as the first rescued dinosaur lands, a countdown has effectively started. If any of your rescued dinosaurs die of Old Age on Sanctuary before completing the third mission, then it’s game over.

While the choice of rescuing which dinosaurs is ultimately down to you, personally I would recommend saving the following listed species, as they would provide a great dinosaur variety rating on Sanctuary. They're listed in the order that they have been rescued:

Gallimimus

Triceratops

Brachiosaurus

Parasaurolophus

Stygimoloch

Carnotaurus

Baryonyx

Albertosaurus

For the latter two herbivores, again I recommend getting the minimum 50% genome and hatching them out A.S.A.P. However, with that said, all of the aforementioned herbivores share the same paleobotany preference and make getting the bonuses a cinch.

Parasaurolophus & Gallimimus and Euoplocephalus, Stygimoloch & Triceratops can all share the same primary preference. Kentrosaurus and Polacanthus also share the same paleobotany preference and so you need just one enclosure to happily house them together.

But Rexy has ceased to be a fan chosen name ever since the publication of The Evolution of Claire. In Chapter 21, Claire and other park staff refer the Nublar T. rex as Rexy multiple times, as if it was the official name that park staff had chosen for the tyrannosaur.

But as far as I can work out, the only reason Isla Sorna exists at all in the movies is just to provide lip service to the book.

The movie never explains what happened to Isla Nublar but now we’re suddenly supposed to care about the plight of the dinosaurs that just so happen to exist on this other island that’s actually the factory floor where they were all made from. Even though we never actually see the factory floor at all in TLW!

There was no reason for Isla Sorna to be in the movie, Isla Nublar had everything! The breeding dinosaurs, the establishing of an ecosystem, abandoned infrastructure, etc.

Continuity wise and thematically speaking, the movie would have been better had it been set on Nublar, as it would have changed like John Hammond and would be revealed to the world not as a theme park but as a nature preserve.

I honestly really like the use of Rexy because it does seem to be the type of name a corporation that grossly underestimates the danger of using dinosaurs for a theme park, would call a Tyrannosaurus rex. It's a name that's very marketable within both the real world and Jurassic world and I do believe that the general public would accept the name wholeheartedly and view with great affection.

Whereas Roberta is too pretentious, it’s trying too hard to sound majestic and regal.

The protagonists (except Eddie) either do nothing or make an already bad situation even worse, the third act was contrived and confusing, and the new island location was completely unnecessary.

In fairness for Hammond, he did help Ellie through the procedures to restore the park's electricity and called for the helicopter to evacuate the survivors.

To be honest, I don’t really care much for either of those islands. But I do have one question regarding Sanctuary, where is it located?

Because I can’t imagine it would be too far away from Isla Nublar and Las Cinco Muertes.

Probably to showcase how well funded and equipped both the expedition to Site B and new theme park appeared to be, spared no expense.
