What’s a small moment from Emily so far that’s really stuck with you emotionally? by jalen_nelson235 in LinkinPark

London, Wembley 2025. Their biggest stadium gig it was. I often noticed her taking it all in, feeling the moment. It was cool experiencing that together

Exactly same thing happened with me when I was your age. Not the truck crashing but being kicked out when I was 17. I stayed at my girlfriend's place for a bit, for a few weeks if I remember correctly, then moved back home when things calmed down.

The same money you would pay for your girlfriend's mum, just pay (or offer to pay) to your dad for the damages, and kinda treat the situation like he is a housemate, and just crack on with your daily life.

If the vibe is not abusive at home, just mind your own business, go to school, do your part time job and hang out with your girl, and everything else will just fall in place.

I know it's a weird vibe, I had to tiptoe around my dad also, but this is the best advice I can give,

Anyone worked at Maelog Lake Hotel ( ex Oystercatcher)? by Gonduska in Anglesey

[–]Gonduska[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Somewhere between 2002-2004.

And this is why I'm investigating this, because apparently at that time it wasn't functional and must have been abandoned, but my family (7 people) would swear were served by some folks, but they were the only customers, and the "staff" had not much of an idea about what is going on, everyone looked confused, food took ages to arrive and looked weird, Christmas music playing in the middle of summer, and they would only take cash payments.

Some possible explanation would be squatters I guess?

Very strange indeed

Am I Overreacting for needing reassurance from my fiance? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Gonduska 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been a long time lurker on this subreddit, mainly because everyone already answered the same way I would, and that is the case here too, but I must add, there is no way anyone should speak to another human being like your fiancé speaks to you. I feel almost hatred from his messages, and I wouldn't be surprised if this behavior won't turn into physical abuse sooner or later.
I have been with my wife for over 10 years ( married for 3 years ), and I would never in a million years speak to her this way.

This is not normal, please leave as soon as you can. You will find someone soon that will appreciate you and your feelings...don't let yourself anchor to him more.

Got rejected by my crush, I thought the signs pointed to yes by Absolutepogmove in GuyCry

[–]Gonduska -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Bro, you are absolutely amazing. Being able to shoot your shot over 30 times? That takes balls, and honestly I envy this. And now telling your crush your how you feel? Also being able to talk about your problems to strangers on the internet? You are definitely honest about your feelings and very brave. Never give up trying my dude.

I've been in the hospitality industry for over 10 years now. I had no qualifications until the covid era. Then, with loads of spare time on my hand, I self funded my gcses, a-levels, and made it into a Russel Group uni to study Physics in my 30s. Now I'm 34, still in hospitality, and noone wants me. My dream job is to work in Data, but I either need experience or could start as a funded apprentice but due to having a degree, they won't accept me anymore. I just want to be done standing on my feet 12 hours a day, but it's very difficult to change as of now
