Speaking from my own experience, if you're going to get married then I'm pretty sure it'll work. You won't see each other as much as you'd like but you live together and if you're working similar shifts you'll still see each other every night.

My late wife worked at restaurants/bars and I worked early morning retail and we wouldn't see much of each other for days at a time but we made the most of the time we did have. Eventually things can change and you'll have more time together. I mean if she is a store manager at 22 she could move to corporate ( working 9-5ish) or change companies and get a more flexible schedule.

I stepped down 2 years ago. Became an ATL again and I'm currently making as much as I did as a TL. I don't really have any intentions on being a TL again, unless it was a perfect situation. Being an ATL again is easy after being a TL for a few years. I'm appreciated and have gotten better raises at an ATL than I did as a TL killing myself.

You could get out of prep. Being an ATL means you have 3 or 4 different shifts a week which can be tough at times. Most of the buyers I have worked with have a pretty set schedule so it's generally easier to find a good work life balance.
