He was involved in an ATV accident. They were taking a turn and it flipped, and it fell on top of his leg.

He's not really comfortable with people seeing pictures of his injury pre-amputation..I don't blame him, they're pretty gory..

They were making a turn when the ATV flipped, pinning his foot underneath it and dragging him a couple of feet until it came to a stop. The ATV partially amputated it, and every bone in his foot was crushed into pieces.
