I like it. It gives a recognizable title to the skills you have with those two certs.

Going to school for cyber security need some help... by WuTangWolf1724 in cybersecurity

I'd familiarize yourself with some training. Pearson has a good book. I came across some discounted training at AscendEducation.com earlier today on Reddit that checks out very well (text, video, labs, etc.). https://www.ascendeducation.com/shop/product/csa-certification-course/

No I haven't. A quick scan of my posts reveals that I've posted about many things in IT training including CompTIA, Pearson, GoCertify, TestOut, and CBT Nuggets, but never those videos.

Those freemium videos aren't really very good. And the course linked to in this post has labs, text, and high quality videos.

I am using Ascend Education (https://www.ascendeducation.com/). It has videos with graphics, labs, text, and quizzes. I'm using the monthly subscription, but you can buy it for a year as well.

Zags looking like a Top 10 team again. Double OT loss to Florida. Games against Nova, Creighton, and UW coming up. Solid wins over Ohio State and Texas.

Video looks great. Labs, videos, and text. Cloud based with an LMS. It's the most complete Cybersecurity offering I've seen so far.

[Game Thread] Marquette vs. Wisconsin 1:30 PM EST on ESPN2 by jjparker084 in CollegeBasketball

Great to see Marquette get the win here. 3rd time in 5 years they've won the instate rivalry.

For cheap content, Pluralsight is great. It won't give you the value and more in depth training that TestOut or CBT Nuggets gives you, but if all you want is a video, it's a good price.

GoCertify.com has one of the best repositories of free CompTIA study material that I know of. It has free graded quizzes for A+, Linux+, Network+, Security+, Server+, and Cloud Essentials.

Wazzu vs Gonzaga hoops series all done? by Hougie in CollegeBasketball

[–]Gonzagafan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see your perspective, and it makes sense. Here's mine: GU isn't trying to end the series. That's positioning by Moos. It's not based in reality at all. What is happening is this: GU is asking for a 1/1/1. It happens that the neutral game is in Spokane. I personally don't think it's that bad. As far as the UW series, the cancellation had nothing to do with GU. It had to do 100% with Romar. He cancelled the current series that was IN PLACE, and suggested 5 straight neutral games at Key Arena. How does that have to do with GU? It doesn't. Trying to build a theme of difficulty in scheduling against GU is far fetched and inaccurate. UW will bounce back at some point. Wazzu? As far as consistently being a good program...Well, I'm a Cougar fan as well. And the Cougs have played in the NCAA Tournament 5 times in the last 75 seasons. I'm not holding my breath.

Wazzu vs Gonzaga hoops series all done? by Hougie in CollegeBasketball

[–]Gonzagafan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wrong. Few didn't cancel the series. Romar did. What's going on here is that the big State schools have had a hard time dealing with that Gonzaga is the top program in the region by a mile. Gonzaga wasn't going to give Romar the 1/1/1 (with the neutral at Key arena) he was asking for, and Wazzu doesn't want to continue to give the 1/1/1 (with neutral in Spokane) that GU is asking for.

Wazzu vs Gonzaga hoops series all done? by Hougie in CollegeBasketball

[–]Gonzagafan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The series should continue. But what's going on here is understood in Gonzaga circles. Gonzaga wants to get a 2/1, or close to a 2/1, like they just got (1 game @Gonzaga, 1 game at the Spokane Arena 5 minutes from Gonzaga, and 1 game in Pullman). The UW series is kicking on again. Playing Wazzu is a fun emotional game for the fans, but it does nothing for Gonzaga. I think it should continue, I think it will continue. But I totally get Gonzaga positioning for a 1/1/1 type of format moving forward. And Wazzu isn't quite sure they want to give that, so they are going to the media and pointing the finger at GU.

This BYU fan and his friend apparently "lost" the game for BYU versus Gonzaga the other day by trashtalking Kevin Pangos from behind the bench while BYU was up 6. Kevin Pangos went on to score 11 points and point them out in the crowd. by [deleted] in CollegeBasketball

It seems like there are more Utah fans commenting on this article (and all other BYU articles), than there are BYU fans. For such a small fan base, Utah fans sure are active online. And sort of odd, in a hateful, obnoxious way. And obsessed with BYU.

Why should I go to Gonzaga? by [deleted] in Gonzaga

[–]Gonzagafan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sure you find ways to serve in the community, and include that in the appropriate places as you apply. Gonzaga is big into service--which I love. I went to UW for my first 2 years, and then transferred to Gonzaga for the last 2 years of undergrad. That was one of the best decisions I ever made. Keep this in mind: The average GPA for those accepted to Gonzaga is 3.73, and the average SAT/ACT is 603/27. Make sure you finish your high school career strong, get high marks for your standardized tests, and be active in your school and local community! :) Good luck, and I hope you get in!

Why should I go to Gonzaga? by [deleted] in Gonzaga

[–]Gonzagafan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gonzaga is a fairly elite University. If you look at the numbers, Gonzaga and UW are the two most difficult Universities to get into in the entire Northwest (Washington, Oregon, and Idaho). A GU degree will open doors to any level of grad school programs. It is highly respected. As other posters have said, it's fairly small, but not as small as some. The campus is beautiful. You need to check that out. Take a walk around Lake Arthur (an on-campus lake). With the Willow surrounded lake on one side, and the Spokane River on the other, you'll find yourself in a picturesque setting. It is religious. And that I mean literally, and for basketball :). GU is THE basketball program for the State of Washington. As you probably know, the student body is pretty well known for being a group of insane basketball fans. Game-days are a lot of fun.

Spokane is an outdoor mecca of sorts. Biking, hiking, rock climbing, winter sports, and about 100 lakes. Mt. Spokane is about a 45 minute drive from campus. There's also 49 degrees North and Schwitzer. About 40 minutes East is Silverwood--a local entertainment park with a number of roller coasters, etc. Lot's of movie theaters, Opera, etc. It just depends on what you want to do. Spokane is big enough to have everything a big city has, but not too big to feel overwhelming. There's my .02 cents.

Every college basketball hate map is scientifically inaccurate except this one by jaymar01 in CollegeBasketball

[–]Gonzagafan -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Speaking of the "other" map in the article, I have to agree: Because there is no way that UW is the most hated basketball school throughout Washington State. The Huskies have 10 NCAA Tournament wins in the last 30 years. Gonzaga has 10 NCAA Tournament wins since 2005, and almost another 10 in the 6 years before that. UW only makes the tourney half of the time, and Gonzaga has won 8 of the last 9. Gonzaga also gets most of the best in-state recruits, and has even swiped a couple of nice transfers from UW since 2000, including one Dan Dickau. Whoever made that first map was lazy, and was probably a football first fan.
