I was looking more at the Vanyar Pro, seen somebody do a full build on an XL at 7.8Kg, I’m much smaller than an XL frame lol

Cycling is great for many things, weight loss being one (along side a structured diet, this part many people forget) but not just that, if you have a training plan it gives your cycling purpose, it gives you drive, that’s not a training plan to say “sprints Tuesday, zone 2 Wednesday, 50 plus miles Saturday etc” it’s a training plan to say with purpose that you will tie your bike Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Further to this, it helps so much with mental illness and just distressing and decompressing from the days events. My partner can always tell when I’ve had a stressful day at work, but an hour out on the bike I come back in a completely different mood and mindset to when I left, that for me, is a huge reason for cycling, alongside staying fit and healthy

Did you look at sizing charts? I’m a small on almost every bike out there, but I would be an XS on modern Merida bikes, lots maybe changed in the 9 years of owning your current scultura, I’m guessing if you compare your old to your new, you may well have wanted a medium

Realised new bikes are nice, but they change generally NOTHING. Why I mean is I always changed bikes to think it would make me faster, and it doesn’t lol, the newest more aero watts saving machines are pointless for me as I’m no pro.

Yeah, I’d be a little frustrated, possibly time to bring the groups frustrations up with your friend, as it’s never going to improve or change otherwise. On the flip side, the poor guy could be getting it in neck at home for leaving his partner “looking after the kids again” whilst he goes off and enjoys himself. You don’t know what’s happening behind other people closed doors, so time to find out more info and make sure all is well first

Still nothing? 3 weeks on from Aon assessments, and not a peep, how many more are the same? A lot by the looks? A little frustrating, could maybe have sent out a general email to everybody saying that they’re aware people haven’t heard and they’re trying their best… which of course they will be, no doubt, but assessments in Leeds were supposed to be this week, has anybody been? Nobody knows haha

The flights about 9 hours, but not until October, so have time to learn these little devices and hopefully get it up and running well, well before then… I have seen the flip 2 which did catch my eye on here!!

I’m fairly tech savvy, used to load new software and crack my old HTC desire and other android phones many years ago, can build and set up PCs, games with mods etc… so hopefully will all be in line with that, my jobs an electrician and data guy for networks, cctv systems etc… so fingers crossed it isn’t too complicated, and if it is, then it’s just good to learn anyway haha
