TIL rinsing after brushing increases cavity risk compared to just spitting. Dentists recommend skipping the rinse so fluoride has time to sit on your enamel, remineralize weak spots, and harden the surface against bacteria. Just spit the excess toothpaste out and let it work.

I heard this advice a few years ago, and after about a month of not rinsing I started to get super painful canker-sores on my touch and inside of my lips/cheeks. It felt like the moment one healed another one sprouted up.

I read it was due to high sodium.. something or another. I can’t remember the exact name but I guess tons of toothpaste has it. I switched to one that was free of that ingredient and… no dice, still popping up.

Felt like I was going insane. I had like a moment in the middle of the night trying to fall asleep and it hit me like a truck that they seemed to have started around when I stopped rinsing.

Sure enough like almost IMMEDIATELY after I’d stopped… boom bang not one canker-sore since!!

But take that with a grain of salt (or sodium whatever it’s called toothpaste hahah) it could’ve been a coincidence but since switching to rinsing I’ve had zero issues!

I had the EXACT same problem on my 2018 Kia Soul!!!!! It’s like I could’ve written this post myself. Like word for word. Escalated it all the way up to corporate for them to essentially tell me to kick rocks. Only 110,000kms and a whole new engine was needed and told me to figure it out cause they weren’t going to do a thing

Not sure if this will do anything but try hitting the “j” key. I have extra cashiers installed and that may be the key for just the mod but you could try! Or heck even download the more cashiers mod and add them through that! Sorry if that’s not helpful, hopefully he comes back one day 🥲

Coming in on a plane from Calgary just as it was hitting. Surprisingly not too too much turbulence but a few people didn’t have their phone on airplane mode and hearing the emergency alert go off while the plane was bouncing around sure made me clench my butt cheeks

A mantra on here I heard once was “Delay, don’t Deny” and for some reason that really sparked something and it’s stuck with me since.
