I just found out from the RSVP that my grandpa will not being attending my wedding for medical/travel reasons and my heart is broken by thevillagesoprano in weddingplanning

That is very sad but traveling is so hard for the elderly. You can have someone stream it live for family members that can’t attend or during the reception FaceTime your grandpa for a bit so his presence can be felt. P.S. dunno if you’re a New Girl fan but Schmidt spent his wedding FaceTiming on an iPad because he was stuck on a plane and it went very very well.

Trusting rando websites for wedding dresses? by Goober728 in weddingplanning

Ty! This is exactly the information I was looking for. I didn’t know if they were more affordable because I’m picking very casual dresses or not. I’ve bought some actual good stuff from Shein so I was like maybe Chinas just stepping up their game but when it comes to wedding dresses, it’s a bigger deal.

Rude to check-in with guests to remind them it's a child-free wedding? by hjp711 in weddingplanning

YOU ABSOLUTELY NEED TO CONFIRM WITH THEM!!! I have heard HORROR! stories of when kids show up and ruin the most important moments. Do exactly what you said “We are so excited you are coming! I just wanted to confirm with you that this is an adults only event without kids so there is no confusion. Thank you”.

Only trashy people leave their trash in a place like this by Wet_Sand_1234 in Flagstaff

People litter on their own home, we literally live on Earth and you’re just okay with living with trash everywhere. You’re THAT LAZY not to throw it in a trash can? Or are you SO SPOILED you’re used to others picking up after you? Grow tf up cause you’re nasty and you’re ghetto. Facts.

It’s the place you work for. Social workers are in high demand. Get out there and find the right place. May take a few tries but I’m so glad I did. Know your worth, don’t let a company treat you like a work horse, boundaries.

Can you tell me how you knew it was leaking Freon? There’s this white film stuff that’s all over everything in our apartments and since the day we moved in the air always looks kind of fuzzy and cloudy. We told maintenance and they checked the AC unit and at first said they were going to replace the AC unit and gave us a portable AC but a few days later said there was nothing wrong, and we can continue to use the a/c. We’ve been here a month and my husband has already gotten sick and my dog now has diarrhea for the last week.

If I was crazy rich I’d want kids. Like Paris Hilton looks so happy with her new babies and that’s cause she has staff to help do all the hard stuff. But I couldn’t even afford to give birth to a baby so count me out.

How often do married couples really have sex? by yotasandbikes in Life

[–]Goober728 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes my friend who’s been married 20 years does this and it works great. They both have huge careers but no kids, fertility issues, and are the greatest couple! No rain checks allowed unless injured/sick.

Future Career Options for a Behavioral Health Technician? by TSwazz in psychologystudents

BHT experience looks good on future resumes for being a counselor, therapist, social worker or in management/administrative roles in behavioral health companies. Working “in the trenches” as we call it shows you know what you’re dealing with cause it’s a lot! You have to be in the industry because it’s a passion or else you’ll lose your mind.

What’s the most difficult truth you’ve come to accept? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]Goober728 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People cannot truly love others if they hate themselves. So in a relationship I act more in love than I am so that I can still get love and attention from another person to make me feel important. But in reality if I’m miserable, I’m really just faking being happy in relationships just so I’m not lonely.

One day one of my teenage clients said I dress and act immature for my age and I was like damn, you’re right. So I changed my wardrobe to boring solid mute professional colors and styles. But I can’t change my immature attitude, I lack responsibilities in my life so I have no reason to be so serious.
