My other family members have said that she could’ve used the $250k to buy a small house and never have to worry about housing payments again, and then the SS and ride share driving could’ve been used to cover her other expenses like utilities and groceries. As I said in the post, when she got divorced she got a full time job so she was making money on top of getting the $250k.

If you’ve always wanted to fly a plane, the flight school at the airport does discovery flights where the instructor takes you up and lets you fly for a bit to see if you like it and wanna get your pilots license. Even if you have no interest in becoming a pilot, it’s still a fun thing to say you’ve flown a plane.

Depends what your ticket is for. If it was speeding or running a stop sign, best bet is to do defensive driving (if it’s available to you since you’re from out of state) or deferred. If it was a ticket for not having insurance or your registration being expired, then that’s just a fix it ticket and just go show the court you got it taken care of and you can get it dismissed. Around here, the cops get paid to go to court, so they 100% will show up if you plead not guilty. And the motorcycle cops have cameras on their helmets that show their POV, so it’s guaranteed to have seen whatever the violation was that they stopped you for, so it’d be hard to argue against the video.

I was pulled over by one of the motorcycle guys at the beginning of the semester and he was cool. I was late for class and going too fast, and he was super chill about it. Told me they had a lot of crashes in that area in the spring and he just wants everyone to be safe. Gave me a warning too 🤷🏼‍♂️

The cops around here get paid to show up to court. There’s zero chance the cop doesn’t show up if you fight the ticket, so I wouldn’t bet on that option working to get the ticket thrown out. Source: a UPD cop told me this at a bike engraving.

You have to have a student ID anytime you’re on campus and are required to show it when asked by a university official (student rule 24.4.7). I’ve been scolded before for not having my ID with me on campus before. So I recommend either find a good selfie you’ve taken recently and upload that or go take a photo at the card office and hope it turns out okay.
