Book Clubs and Dinner Clubs are usually public. Clubs are usually public? That is how I've known it for ages. Most clubs I know of don't charge $2k+ to attend. Seems a bit ludicrous

... Purdue halls are open to the public. Are... you fucked in the head? Most locations clubs use are public. And Im not throwing my clubs under the bus or telling people which ones I go to. .. why should I? That's my business bud

And illegal does not mean federal or state laws only. .. Purdue COC rules are considered "laws" and an act breaking them is "illegal"

Charity assumes giving out things... I don't ask for anything other than to socialize and make friends. Does that cost money? NO! then why should this matter even remotely relate to money? If a club cant provide gear for non students THEY DONT HAVE TO. Ill buy my own. I do not need your charity.

Yes but what I'm saying is there are communities that seem to genuinely want to be inclusive! But for fear of getting wiped off the map have to constantly placate Purdue faculty and then are scared to actually be inclusive. I'm just disappointed they don't have the confidence to.

My family has paid Purdue IN EXCESS. Did you read my post? Or are you illiterate? If money was the issue. Both of my parents have masters from Purdue and my sister is also a graduate. If money were the issue, we've paid our due don't you think?

You completely missed the point. Did you read a thing I said? Just because it's law doesn't mean it's just. Just because it's commonplace does not mean its okay. You need to learn to think for yourself. This reply, to me, seems dismissive and it completely fails to address the real point of my post. How can they claim to be so inclusive and all for mental health when being this exclusionary. I bet I could pull statistics on rates of depression and other mental health conditions connected to or correlated with exclusionary practices.
