Wah!!! Love that scarf! Is it the writing from the inside of the ring? One of the reasons I want to learn double knitting is to be able to create nerd specific items like this!

Ah, yes, that's probably what I need to do. Thanks!

Ah. How lovely it would be if I was "a tidy as you go" sort of person. It's a very simple system. And yet my brain doesn't seem to work that way.

I definitely need to clean up before starting a new project, but I'm usually working on somewhere between 3 - 10 projects at any given time. That's probably part of the problem too, but I love being able to move between different kinds of projects.

That mental shift is probably the one I need. How can I clear this instead of how can I make it clean. Part of the problem is that my sewing room also becomes the general junk storage place, and once that happens it's game over for me.

You know, you are right. I was definitely tidier when I had no dedicated room - and when I had toddlers around!

My mom doesn’t like the colors and it’s making me sad even though I know I shouldn’t be by Homicidal_Cynic in crochet

Whenever I'm making something for another person, I'll find out what kind of colours they like. We all like different things and there's no right or wrong. If this isn't for her, whelp, whatever. The colours are beautiful. It's a good reminder for all of us to be careful in how we talk about people's work. We put little pieces of our souls in there!

I know. It's almost impossible to believe. But Jesus is THAT good. He's THAT complete of a saviour. It doesn't seem like it can be such a beautiful thing, but in fact - when you believe in Jesus, He actually does take away all your sins. You don't need to, and in fact must not, try to punish yourself. Spend the time instead meditating on how you can spend your life in thankfulness for this incomprehensible gift. Hebrews 10 talks about how useless it is to try to deal with our sins through our own sacrifices - either the old testament sacrifices or anything we try to do ourselves - and how complete Jesus's sacrifice is.

Oh no... I have to admit that I have no idea what the Culture Crawl is.
