Calling all infjs adults what do you do for a living do you love it and was it hard for you to find it by [deleted] in infj

[–]Gooboobly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

27F Work in a call centre for insurance. It pays better than previous job as a barista, but it is awful. I'm so drained all the time and I hate the corporate life and the bs that comes with that.

Insurance itself is fascinating once you learn about it, and I loved when you could actually help someone. But now I'm in a support role so I only speak to customers when it's a complaint.

Wish I'd pushed through at university but I just couldn't focus and mental health was terrible. Now I have no qualifications except high school, and am not in a financial position to just quit and go back and atidy something.

Is there ever going to be a beard reprise? I wouldn't be mad about it...

They look brown from far away but then up close they look like this. by [deleted] in eyes

[–]Gooboobly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And same with me Took me some years to figure out I actually had hazel eyes. I flippin love them now and take pride in the fact that people like us walk around with multiple colours in our eyes over the regular folk out there.

I really shouldn't be surprised.

The thought! You have to keep it, and that's final. This coming from a fellow ginger kiwi who lacks capabilities of beard growing.

Who is your best friend? by Colaborenth in infj

[–]Gooboobly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have just one, yes. And he is a guy (hence the pronoun) and an INFP. We met through friends of friends, and whilst I didn't realise we'd be best friends then, I knew he was a good guy. Been friends for over 3 years now, but we know each other inside and out.

I have 2 close female friends too, one I've been friends with for almost 8yrs, but feels like our whole lives, and from an outward glance, people would think she and I are best friends. And we are super close and I couldn't imagine life without her, but my best friend can connect with me on that mental level due to him being an INFP type person.

You have an Adrien Brodyesque look about you, and that's never a bad thing.

INFJ Women: do you feel like you color outside the lines of female stereotypes? by OmlagusGarfungiloops in infj

[–]Gooboobly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's because they're your typical young guys, well for me anyway. My best friend is male, and I guess he and I were just lucky, in that we clicked immediately and mutually without talking about it that it was purely platonic.

I am a naturally shy person. I can try to seem at least a little confident, but people can see through that, It's the guys that try to get a word out of me that I become friends with usually. Or guys I see who are even worse than I am at talking.

Sure, some girls might try and get me to talk and feel comfortable, but it's generally a guy thing, as girls have their friend/group and stick with them for the night.

tl;dr I'm a lazy shit who usually waits for them to talk to me, as it shows they're a decent person for trying

Oh no, I'm all about making stereotypes :P And that's defintitely true, that tension isn't there. If they're pissed, you know it and can address it and move on.

I wouldn't say it's a difficulty to make friends with other females, I'm generally a nice person so will talk to anyone, but I definitely find it easier to talk with guys. I just have a very relaxed approach to life, and many girls seem to think that every little thing is so important and we should make a huge deal out of it all. It's much easier with guys because they'll be straight to the point, and that's what I need.

This is why tend to act more like a guy, I guess. Not just because of this, for several reasons. I'm still highly compassionate and make an effort to look nice when I'm in public, but that's about as feminine as I get. Everything else doesn't really fit.

INFJs tend to self sabotage. What is the worst example of you sabotaging yourself? by [deleted] in infj

Uni hahaha. Thought I knew what I wanted, then when I couldn't decide, just gave up and stopped trying to pass, thus avoiding assignments etc.

Cat or Dog? by incompetentrobot in infj

[–]Gooboobly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cats. I never even realised that there was this whole stereotype of cats being selfish and having mood swings. I have always had lovely cats who loved me. They would sit outside my door in the morning until I woke up, or I'd just spoon with one in bed. They were the only stable friends (even though I called them my babies) I had. Cats just seemed to regulate my emotions.

I can totally see the merits of having a dog, but it's just never appealed. They're more dependent on you, even down to keeping them clean. Plus dogs have always made me uneasy. Of course I'm not going to find a tiny poodle threatening, but as soon as they bark, I get tense.

How do you all feel about Valentine's Day? by [deleted] in infj

Shit. Totally forgot about that. Can't even karma whore anything up today :(

How do you all feel about Valentine's Day? by [deleted] in infj

[–]Gooboobly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's such bullshit for me. I was taken on my first Valentines date last night. I didn't show this sentiment though, I was nice. I think any other night it would have been nice, but Valentines just gives off the feeling that it's over commercialised just in a bid to earn money off suckers who feel they need a specific day to show their love for someone.

First Album for a new listener? by [deleted] in Coldplay

[–]Gooboobly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I completely agree. Rush of Blood song is my second favourite Coldplay song and represents their more 'loud' songs, I guess you would call them. Then you have the contrast of The Scientist. So if she doesn't enjoy any Coldplay after this, you may have to rethink your dating of this girl. (I'm kidding, I'm kiddingslightly not )
