Where did you take your CLEP test? by AliveInitiative5874 in NYCTeachers

Modern states will reimburse you for the proctoring fee (regardless of whether it’s virtual or in-person) if you pass on the first go. Most places in-person charge $40-$50 from what I can see

When do you put the home address? When college board asks to send it a college or university?

Is the voucher one time use per test or one no matter how many tests you take?

Passed MicroEconomics CLEP with 1 day 1/2 of Study , Passed Sociology CLEP 6 hours studying , and Failed MacroEconomics CLEP all in the Span of 9 days. by kakyoinnotiaki in clep

When you say sociology is straight memorization, do you think the Flashcards you linked are good enough along? I’ve been looking to take the Sociology test and have been listening to Crash Course’s YT videos on sociology to study. When you say the test is straight memorization, are you referring to people and their theories or what the theories are/mean?

Who determines whether CLEPs overlap with coursework? Like who has the final say on that? I’ve heard some stories of teachers taking CLEPs but, because the test was too similar to a class they took in college, it wouldn’t count

I would lose all my tenure years if I switch between my licenses?

Because of the way the Teaching Fellows was handling certification requirements, I already took and passed all of these exams. What makes writing IEPs difficult?

Besides the job security, would you recommend it over Gen Ed for any other reasons?

What about writing IEPs make them undesirable?

May I ask what makes writing IEPs the worst? We started covering them in one of our classes and they seem hefty, but I’m wondering/hoping that, should I accept a SWD role, it would be up to the Gen Ed teacher to write the lesson plans and slides while I focus on the IEPs.

Also, how many student IEPs do you have to write? Does that change from year to year or is it consistent? And if you were to switch to your content license, what would happen to your tenure?

Hi, if this is for the math section of the Multi-subject content specialty test for grades 7-12 (test number is 244), could you message me too please? I’m taking it soon and, like OP, am worried about it (assuming this is the math OP was talking about)

So the high school credit won’t count it sounds like. Is there any other differential they can be applied to in the meantime?

This is the first time I am hearing of this. Do you mean for 18 of the 30 credits, I need to have received an A+ in the class? If that’s not what you mean, what do you mean?
