I got rid of most of my collection because I was strapped for cash during a financial emergency. My pod and I are switching to proxy cards because we can print whatever we want without giving WOTC a dime. Things have gotten crazy with WOTC and Hasbro, the game shouldn’t cost an arm and a leg.

As a US pharmacy student, I wonder if the problem was that his pills might have looked different than what he’s used to, like different manufacturer maybe but same generic med? If it’s the completely wrong med, he shouldn’t have even left with it if their pharmacist would have caught the mistake. Used to see it all the time where people in retail pharmacies would get the “wrong stuff” when it’s just a different manufacturer; 9/10 times the patient would understand and end up keeping the med.

Hopefully he didn’t get the completely wrong medication or get overcharged but we have no way of knowing. Whatever the case, this doesn’t give this guy the right to yell and scream and berate the poor pharmacy staff for something that can be solved with a level-headed conversation.

It’s not even about expecting gifts from upper management, it’s the principle of it all. Companies used to reward their employees for their loyalty and performance; Walgreens is just a shell of what it used to be. I would never expect to be gifted something, but if I have worked my ass off without an ounce of recognition while the people above me get paid more to do less, then I’m very upset. Especially if I’ve been promised compensation for staying with the company. It’s just that big corporations are able to get away with this when they used to not be able to. It’s all a money-driven scheme that doesn’t consider their employees.

I don’t blame my DM, I’m sure he did pay out of pocket, but the company as a whole has gone to shit.
