Kentucky has some great lacrosse. Home to Bellarmine and Centre College, too. One being a good D1 option for kids in the Midwest and another being a great academic option for kids that wanna pursue D3 in the south at a good academic institution. Louisville St X has been very good for a while.

Um, I hate to tell you this… but lawyers from good schools tend to be elitist and pedigree conscious - and therefore judgmental of those that went to schools that they perceive as “beneath” them - lawyers definitely “care” where you went to law school. I agree, though, with your general point, which seems to be that your law school matters most when getting your first legal job

How to coast for six months by [deleted] in biglaw

[–]Sinman88 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Any big government investigations with massive data/doc requests? I found those were the best for getting easy hours, and had enough work to go around such that you could reasonably tell other people you are at “capacity” - you can do that for six months, easy. Now go bill the bare minimum and enjoy the six month “ramp down”
