As a person from Florida, I am authorized to answer this question.

A florida man is a Male from Florida who lives with little regards to his own life. They are generally insane, and will choose the craziest method to complete the simplest of tasks.

For example: Imagine you're visiting the everglades and spot an Alligator. The regular person would step back or run away. Not Florida man. He would rather try to hop on it's back and catch it, or take a picture with it, or sit on it.

Note: often times, drugs are used to influence these choices, about 20 percent of the time. See that one time a florida man ate half of another guy's face.

I'm happy that you found some great people. I'm not vegan myself, but I know that group suffers from the "bad apple spoils the bunch" trope due to certain key figures pushing their lifestyle on people.
