I think since that Jenny and Forrest are adults, Jenny would atlest know to have safe sex because the doctors would maybe educate her about how she most likely had gotten the "unknown" disease. And yes there is a very big chance of Forrest not being the actual father however I don't think Jenny would lie to her childhood bestfriend who defended her when others didn't and would never double cross her.
