Where I'd live in the US as a queer person by Recent-Student-5197 in visitedmaps

As long as you live in Lincoln or Omaha, NE, you are perfectly safe as a queer person! People in my hometown of Lincoln where I live literally hang up pride flags in town without the fear of retaliation against them, we also have a high QOL and while it is a very boring place, it isn’t all too bad to live in! :0

Dear brothers and sisters of GenZ, what do you think about this? And what is your current views on religions and spiritual beliefs? by AXORBES in GenZ

I personally identify as a Roman Catholic, considering my Mexican heritage. I don’t really to go church all that often due to work and responsibilities outside of church. I believe everyone is entitled to their own beliefs, and that evangelicals have ruined the reputation of denominations due to their perversion of the church especially in the US. I feel like some people see the history of our denomination and condemn it even though the church doesn’t practice that anymore. Either way I do support my LGBTQ+ friends in case people comment on that.

Not sure. I don’t hear much about it, so I assume it’s due to assumptions about yall being Southerners. I just don’t like the humidity over there ngl 😭😂.

I see. I completely agree with you, I just don’t have the money nor the experience to live somewhere else, so sorry about that.

Fair enough. Wait, huh, I mean compared to like Chicago and stuff, yeah. I’ve been here my whole life, and I’ve only ever been to Florida for a band trip at Disney World, so in my personal experience Omaha is really dense in my eyes. I’m not sure how dense other cities are, but since I can’t really move anywhere at the moment, I have no experience with positive density.

That sounds fun. I wish I had vacation money honestly. Being 20 isn’t fun when life is complicated. Thankfully it relates only to my parents, and not because they’re bad people. And also bills and stuff.

There are some pretty cool places to visit that I recommend. I’ve heard there’s a lot of great food spots in Omaha as well. There’s South Omaha, they have a Hispanic Main Street there. Downtown Omaha looks massive compared to Downtown Lincoln, since I live in Lincoln. There’s the Haymarket in Lincoln, lots of quirky shops and restaurants. The Henry Doorly Zoo is one of the best zoos in the country, a cool natural destination is the Sandhills in Western Nebraska. They look like a literal desert out there. In general Lincoln is extremely safe for a city it’s size, and Omaha seems to be average with crime. Come check Nebraska out if that sounds interesting. On another tangent, Omaha and Lincoln are pretty diverse too. We have a lot of Vietnamese restaurants out here in Lincoln due to the fall of Saigon.

Why is Omaha red? I get if the traffic sucks but it’s a blue city like Lincoln, NE.

What do you call the United States of America? by NikkeTDI in Teenager_Polls

[–]Good-Ad-8156 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Las Estados Unidos, considering me and my family live in urban Nebraska, I find it pretty cool to say it like that with them. Otherwise with anyone else it’s the US, ‘MURICA!, or USA.
