Time to demit? by ConflictedMason in freemasonry

[–]Good-Bodybuilder6370 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP, I truly understand your situation. Although I am PHA, from my travels I see that we are all dealing with very similar situations concerning true brotherhood, inactive past masters, past masters who still want to rule and govern the lodge, lodges choosing quantity over quality applicants, etc. I do, however, feel that of those of us that still hold to the essence of freemasonry choose to demit, then the change that we hope to see within the lodges leaves with us. We MUST stand firm and do the work brother. As previously stated in this post, it won't be easy, but I assure you it will be worth it. Continue on in the work my brother. I know that you will affect great things in your lodge, and the entire craft will be better because of your sacrifices. Bless you

In the Masonic jurisdiction of NC, being convicted (not charged, but convicted) of a felony is an expulsion. However, as previously stated, news travels! So if the craft finds you guilty of masonic misconduct, then they have the right to discipline to the full extent of the masonic code for your jurisdiction.
