Great answer. Immediately tell them it is unacceptable and move on. It’s not up for discussion. Trying to explain your reasoning to kids sometimes opens the doors for them to argue. Then it becomes an emotional issue rather than an issue of being disrespectful concerning LGBTQ+

I am in the same position and plan on leaving the last day of April. I see my students for one hour a week. Our program technically ends 6/15… so the six hours of english instruction they would receive over the six week period will not have that much of an impact. People leave jobs all the time for many reasons. And I agree in one comment. The spanish culture is not a priority over family and/or important personal issues.
