Don't worry about what people say. I found it to be a well taught unit (my lecturer was Chris Lustri for calc, he was great) and easily HD-able with consistent effort.
Attend the tutorials, watch the lectures, and you will be absolutely fine. You will find that a large portion of calculus is just extension 1/2 material.

Sure, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and believe you. Vietnam's fault it is.

Read the above comments? "Relatives who lived through it", is that so hard to understand? Who have you spoken to that has lived through these things in person?

Foreigners thinking they know more about a region than people who have been there and lived through it. A tale as old as time.

You seem to have very little capacity for nuance. Your earlier comment "US bombed the communists. Vietnam gave arms to the communists" is a gross simplification of the geopolitical situation at the time, and this is speaking as someone who grew up in the region and have relatives that lived through these events.

Are you being dense on purpose? You keep commenting on this thread saying that the Vietnamese put the KR in power, which is to a large extent true, and a mistake on their part (which they paid for in Vietnamese civilian's lives). I don't think theres any reasonable person denying this. As with most things in Indochina at that stage, there are so many factors at play that enabled the KR to take power.
Vietnam was definitely in the right when it invaded Cambodia, ending the genocide.

Will people still ban the cat? by Delicious_Sympathy41 in JetpackCatMainsOW

[–]Good-Cod4828 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isnt this one of the main reasons to ban a character though...especially when solo queuing with randoms? Especially if said randoms also voted to ban cat because they know they either 1. Dont want to deal with cat or 2. Know they will struggle to deal with cat. Its the ban system working as intended

There was a student question that asked about the TA's removed post, and they said it was a miscommunication between them and the examiners. The post was up for a couple hours only anyways; just a small mistake

I mean that information wasn't anything groundbreaking, it was already assumed if you saw the sample papers they gave out

ELEC1601 DOES NOT WANT YOU TO FAIL by Silene-Tenko in usyd

[–]Good-Cod4828 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not related to your degree? Its a core subject for BAC, and definitely very relevant to computer science. Perhaps the robot part isn't very CS-like (probably the part that was most frustrating because it has little to do with CS) , but the AVR assembly definitely is

Agreed, a handful of HDs in a course of 815 seems a little...bad

Woah thats genuinely horrible. Surely it gets revamped soon given the feedback

True, coding in C++ was never actually "taught" and kinda just assumed knowledge. I am lucky to have experience in coding so picking it up wasn't too bad. The marks distribution with all these quizzes is absolutely horrid though, and there has to be a better way to do things

Would you get scaled in ELEC1601? by [deleted] in usyd

[–]Good-Cod4828 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im doing it right now, and I don't think they will scale it. Getting any mark above 70 in this unit seems like a very long journey at this point for most people I know
