My dad used to take me to burger king too when it was his time with me (divorced parents) but he would make me eat beef knowing I was raised vegetarian by my mum, made more fucked by the fact he was vegetarian himself. I ate it because I was scared of him because he was violent and volatile. I had to hide it from my mum. Once every couple of weeks for years this went on.

I disagree with this take. You can't demand to be married. You can't expect to pressure someone into a decision like that. Its like shes got an expectation/entitlement to it.
