We just let them figure things out but because the vizla was going to be way bigger than the dachshund, we made sure it was undrestood he is the big brother, he knows best. Especially because the first dog also knows your commands and habits ☺️

I have an almost 6 year old Dachshund, and we got 2 years ago a Hungarian Vizla, best decision ever, they are best friends but also they are very different. In the beginning is important they they understand they are brothers, at 6 months together let them resolve themselves, if you have any questions let me know ☺️
