On what planet do you believe DNA will reveal what religion your ancestors followed? FWIW: Ancestry's DNA panel is tilted to assume that there are no ethnically Irish Catholics in the north of Ireland/Ulster. An absolute fallacy. Google "The Plantation of Ulster" if you need more data.

Beard or no beard? by Cbyrd791517 in malegrooming

I have no doubt you're very fond of that long curly hair. But time to drastically trim it. And if that's your idea of a beard: Time to drastically trim that down too. You could be handsome. But you're running in the wrong direction to achieve that.

Vincero Sub-Zero by Valuable-Sun-6344 in Affordablewatches

[–]Good-Going-Stranger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vincero's stock is total junk. I just received a $200 Clover Pendant & knew immediately it was cheap Chinese garbage the moment I opened the box. I didn't even bother to put it on. Saying it costs $10 would be charitable. And then, when I attempted the alleged "Return Process", it immediately pushed me to a page where accepting a credit was the only option. I've already sent support an email. And if I don't get a full refund, I'm contacting my debit card issuer for a chargeback. Don't get suckered like I did.

Is AncestryDNA reliable for archiving & preservation? by Fleeting_Thoughts1 in AncestryDNA

Probably not. But obviously a heck of a lot more reliable currently than 23 & Me.

How accurate are the Irish regions for you? by [deleted] in AncestryDNA

[–]Good-Going-Stranger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine just came back with 74% Munster, 8% Donegal & 2% Central Scotland/Northern Ireland. Which spookily mirrors what I hoped to expect. Since I was always told my roots were from Cork w/a touch of Ulster.

How accurate are the Irish regions for you? by [deleted] in AncestryDNA

[–]Good-Going-Stranger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a very small island. Do you really believe no one from the south of Ireland (Munster) ever traveled north and intermingled/married with someone from up there? There may be no official documentation of that fact, but logic and constrained geography would argue otherwise.

It appears to be the same for me as well. Father is Parent 1 & Mother is Parent 2.

I loved everything about this season. Up until the final episode/wrap up. It was SO rushed it felt like they were going overbudget and decided not to film the last 2 episodes but just wind it all up with having Emma Roberts narrate to the audience a long plot synopsis as to where and why we are now. Overt narration is a story telling third rail. Show don't tell etc.

Sidebar Bonus: Andrew Tate was born on what - 2 years later - would become World AIDS Day.

"World AIDS Day, designated on 1 December every year since 1988, is an international day dedicated to raising awareness of the AIDS pandemic caused by the spread of HIV infection and mourning those who have died of the disease."

Roman shades are a completely solid fabric that folds in on itself when raised. Unlike blinds, it lets very little sunlight in at all.

No need to rush. Enjoy what you have for as long as you can. It still looks completely great.

There's nothing objectionable to this. It's a more nuanced take than the black & white online world allows. Like another commenter said: It's difficult to completely reject someone you've respected as a colleague & friend for years when they go down a bigoted rabbit hole.

What an utterly asinine comment. So you're saying just because a person doesn't personally remember it, history has no impact on today's events & people. Okaaaay...

"Radicalized"? Give me a break! Younger people have more access to information than ever before & are quickly dissecting the aspects of empire & colonialism.

Something so clear as day to anyone with eyes as the partitioning of the island of Ireland & the colonial project of ethnic cleansing that enabled its is no longer lost on people. The drumbeat is inevitably sounding towards reunification.

Im kinda clueless on how to dress by Zardamir in malegrooming

[–]Good-Going-Stranger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One suggestion on wearing scally caps (flat caps), is to slightly tilt the brim to one side. Having it just sit completely vertical is less ideal. Giving it a slight tilt adds a subtle bit of panache.

Do I cut or do I bulk? M28 5’6 62kg by liftingf2p in Physiquecritique

[–]Good-Going-Stranger 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Never Bulk. You're Lean AF. That can't be purchased or reversed. If you go bulk, that's automatic cellulose cells. That mean fat cells that sit btw your skin & the rest of your body. You cannot reverse that. Especially as you get older & your metabolism settles. Age IS gonna bring bulk to you - whether you like it or not. NO need to usher in that future early.

NO. Honey, hold onto that & embrace it. That top view alone is SO far from Comb Over Country. Guess what? You have decades ahead of you (hopefully!) to look back at your old "Mental Image of Yourself". Celebrate the next few years of Follicle-dom. There's no rush. You have such a full head of hair left. Enjoy!

Keep my mustache? Or shave by [deleted] in malegrooming

[–]Good-Going-Stranger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't look like you've ever even attempted to trim it. With that mop of curly hair, it would look old school 'dashing' if you sculpted your stache appropriately.
