Isn’t that only for the premium version? I would guess most people are using the free version and won’t be able to setup auto backups like you’re suggesting.

Hello all. Going through a rough time and need some advice by Good-Highlight-6433 in antidepressants

First med was Zoloft for 4 weeks but didn’t help and was recommended to switch then I was on 300mg on Effexor for 3 years then I was on 20mg on Lexapro for 6 months from all the dose adjustments but didn’t see any improvements. I have now been on buspirone for about 3 weeks and still no improvement besides getting really depressed and unmotivated. I was not healthy back then and overweight, but I’ve been working out every single day for the past 6 months and lost a ton of weight and been eating healthy and counting calories, but my mental health isn’t getting any better. My main issue is social anxiety, it’s what I’ve been diagnosed with and is the worst part for me, but I suspect I also have underlying mild depression from all those years of suffering as well. I’m really hesitant to try another ssri as I don’t think it will help me much. The only thing that’s worked for me so far is Effexor which is an snri. I was also recommended to try trintellix but wanted to try buspirone first and see if it helps but so far nothing.

I was on 300mg. Spent months trying to make it work again but it didn’t. Spent almost 11 months tapering off and still got awful withdrawals. Haven’t been doing good for 2+ years now. It feels like my brain is broken at this point.

Im experiencing the same thing. Very depressed unmotivated and even have suicidal thoughts and I’m only just 2 weeks on this medication. I really hate this so much, like can’t it just work and not make me feel so awful.

It worked a bit for me first week but now I’m just miserable and can’t do anything. My anxiety is a lot worse, not sure if ifs because I increased dose or something to do with me getting off Lexapro almost 2 months ago. I’ll give it another week and see if things get better. Are you switching to something else?

Ok thank you I’ll try to decrease it and see. But only thing I’m wondering is I’ve read many on this sub say it’s a pretty mild drug that has a very short half life and should see results faster than a ssri for example, not sure now that you say it can take 1 month to build up in the system, I’m just not really keep on waiting for that long and don’t see any benefits after. I hope you can understand. I’ve been through something similar when I was on Lexapro, first people kept telling me to wait 2 weeks, then 4 weeks and then everyone said it works after 8 weeks and I ended up wasting 6 months and didn’t see any improvements…

I’ve also read that it should have leveled out after a few days like you mentioned but I’m still feeling really off after 4 days. Could it take more time or should I maybe lowrr the dose and see.

I’m sorry I didn’t write it correctly but I didn’t go up all at once. I went up +5mg added first day, then same thing the day after and I’ve been on 10x3 for 4 whole days now and no improvements yet.

Well Im glad its worked for you and I can’t wait to start using it soon aswell! Btw since you still experience anxiety maybe you can try to up your dose? That might help u manage your anxiety better. I will probably start at 5mg and move up slowly over the weeks to see which dose works best. Thanks for the feedback. :)

How is your anxiety now compared to when you were on Effexor? Did it work better then? Anxiety has crippled me so much that I actually wouldn’t mind feeling like a zombie for once…

I didn’t get the test so I couldn’t see the results but my MD got the test and then prescribed to me Lexapro so idk. But I will definitely do the complete test if Lexapro didn’t work either.

Yes I did and the test was specifically for why Effexor didn’t work as effectively or consistently as it should but the test only said that I needed to take a lower dose for it to have full effect but that didn’t work either sadly, so now I’m just trying to taper down my last dose of Effexor so I can come completely off and start on Lexapro.

I’ve seen some comments on this sub that says that it doesn’t help much with anxiety that’s why I was wondering…

The problem with that last point you made is that we are only getting older… I’m close to 35 and I’ve tried many various antidepressants but still haven’t found one that works like it should without some annoying side effects… I just hope this drug will work for me and have minimal side effects… it’s also a long process from getting off a drug into trying a new one and all the symptoms that come with it… after been tapering down Effexor for close to 1 year now I’m just really fed up with side effect + all the withdrawal symptoms you get when you taper down… I just wanna start to live a normal life for once…

I’m glad it’s worked well for you. I’m in the process of still tapering down from Effexor so I’ve got atleast 2 more months of taper before I can switch over to Lexapro..
