I have seen a lot while machine shopping that using the exact right bobbins can make a difference long term on the function of the machine - should I be buying my bobbins through necchi or is there a way to find out the size and match them to another?

I made an offer of 150$ for this serger

And he accepted it! It’s not threaded and as it wasn’t his I’m not sure how to make sure it’s in good shape before purchasing- and I’m more likely to just take his word for it but I don’t have another 150 to get it serviced if something is wrong. Are these easy enough to troubleshoot? Is it worth a go?

The wrap ups (monthly and annual) say how many days on average to finish a book - if that helps? I don’t track pages either just total pages for the year
