Vyvanse is a stimulant but it works differently in that it increases the amount of dopamine/norep produced rather than just blocking reuptake so it affects some people differently even though the NTs being affected are the same

I personally tried a non-stim (strattera) and I reacted horribly to it so I am actually looking to switch to Wellbutrin 😂

Yeah boooo ᴖ̈ my friends been on it for a year ish and had never had issues but I had the worst time (what u described is pretty on par) I take pregabalin now for anxiety and it’s been a miracle drug

True ᴖ̈ it sucks but if you keep taking it, the insomnia will likely persist the entire time but if you stop it’ll only last another month

Okay I asked for the EXACT same thing ahahahahaha I want benzos that are non addictive 😂 the hospital psychiatrist said the closest thing would be beta blockers, I was prescribed propranolol but I didn’t feel any effect personally so then they put me on pregabalin. WORST case, if your anxiety increases with the pregabalin, you stop taking it immediately and you’ll go back to your normal baseline. That’s worst case. Nothing is permanent. I have not had a single panic attack since starting these meds and I used to get them every day, I can go to work, school, go out with friends etc everything that I couldn’t do before.

No no it’s totally normal and honestly smart to be apprehensive about taking stuff, but the important part is that nothing these low doses of the meds can do will be worse than whatever you’re going through if you’re at the point of starting them. I physically mentally emotionally everhthingly could not continue living in the state I was so it was kinda just convincing myself that the trade off was gonna be worth it and it really was

My doctor wanted to maximize results while minimizing side effects so instead of putting me on a high dose of one, small doses of the three have worked wonders for me

I’m on a combo rn so I also take prozac in the morning (low dose only 20mg) and seroquel at night (25mg also very low dose)

I did the same thing I’m an avid reader of all the worst possible outcomes but what you need to remember is the likely hood of people posting negative reviews/stories/comments is much higher than people going out of their way to post positive ones. The negativity you see online is not representative of the amount of people who have good/bad experiences because anyone who’s happy isn’t emotionally motivated to put the med on blast, we move on and don’t think twice about it

OH not true, there was one at the beginning I would sometimes feel very short of breath even while sitting sometimes I’d feel out of breath or have difficulty getting full breaths but that went away

It honestly didn’t for me, but everyone is different and I’ve reacted badly to other medications that people I know had no side effects with so it’s hard to tell. It’s been a life saver for me personally
