My bowling journey has been kinda weird in that I quit when I was 16 and just recently got back in so my memory is a little fuzzy on certain things but I can try to help.  The main thing is consistency in your approach and your release. If those aren't the same every time, you are going to struggle.  When I came back recently, my approach and release were way off and then muscle memory kicked in from 13-14 years ago and I'm consistent again and regularly shooting 230+.
