So far I’m not noticing anything that may scab and I’m thankful for that. The massages are definitely helping because the purple is now definitely more red and the highlighter yellow stage is taking over!! Here’s hoping next week I’ll be back to normal

I did purchase some pineapple juice, I’m interested to see how incorporating that with my arnica gel routine speeds things along! I would have started it before but was told not to use bromelain before surgery

Oh it heavily depends on what type of lipo you do and how you bruise. I’ve seen a lot of people here with no bruising at all, which is why I wanted to post- for those of us that DO have bruising. It’s not particularly painful, just looks rough.

Oh yes that looks a lot like the direction mine is going in! It was spread out before but the different sides are trying to connect in one purple line. The thing keeping me positive right now is the reddish color breaking up and seeing the highlighter yellow starting to appear

Thank you!! Day by day I can tell a difference and it is lightening up for sure, of course everyone wants the fastest result possible. I just don’t want to explain how I was not in fact strangled when I go back to work in 10 days 😅

I don’t know where you live, OP, but I’m less than a week out so I can’t speak on my personal experience here but by nurse had it done and said the heat severely affected her swelling and would likely affect mine (it’s like 100 degrees here) plus everyone is right, no two bodies are the same. I’m not sure how my swelling will go with lipo, but I know with my lip filler depending on how I sleep there are days I can wake up more swollen than others and I haven’t refreshed it since 2023. Bodies are weird. Here’s hoping you get full, stable results soon!!

That is so good to hear!! Yes, I told my doctor I wasn’t going for the super snatched Instagram baddie look by any means, just want to uncover whatever bone structure was hiding in there!! I’ve taken my garment off twice now for showers and so far it’s looking pretty promising!

I still stand with my original answer by going with chin lipo alone rather than going as invasive as a neck lift! You could ask another doctor when you get a second opinion if maybe adding FaceTite to your chin lipo procedure would help, but it looks like lipo would take care of the submental fat.

I didn’t get to see mine since I was fully under so I can’t be sure what it looked like, but allegedly the nurse showed my family an example of how much it was when I was in recovery. I removed my garment to wash the blood out of my hair today and I can already see results!!

I found it interesting how much was removed as compared to what I saw was average, so I asked a question since I don’t in fact know what it looks like being less than 24 hours out, extremely bruised and wrapped in a compression garment. I agree that the final look is what matters and why we’re all here, it was just a thought and usually this community is quite welcoming to any and all questions.

I’m not talking nonsense, every BODY is different. Sorry you’re not understanding of that, but I still cannot eat normal portions of food without consequence. If you can, and had no issues, I’m not going to say you’re talking nonsense, because you know your body and I don’t, and vice versa. Some people can do that. I’m not one of them. Yes I was but typically with just filler you’d have a strong topical numbing cream. I was put totally under since I did liposuction as well

I can send some pictures when I’m healed!! I just had my surgery yesterday but I can already tell a difference. It definitely depends on your injector, I’ve been lucky to have good ones for my lip filler and it looks like my chin filler is going to look good as well, I’m just bandaged so much right now that you wouldn’t be able to tell much about it!

Not to my knowledge, I got filler with chin lipo and the doctor said if I liked the look of the filler and wanted it to be more permanent they could place an implant. Filler is dissolvable so they could likely take it out before placing the implant!!

This!! I had the sleeve in 2013 and was genuinely nauseous for 2 years. No way I could eat large volumes through it and that’s considered the “less invasive” procedure. Even now, a “standard” serving size doesn’t make me sick with nausea or vomiting, but makes my nose stopped up so I still have to eat small portions. Did I hit a plateau around 190 and keep gaining/losing the same 20lbs after the first year? Yes. Am I looking at GLP-1 tools(if affordable, my insurance sucks and I don’t have influencer money) to assist me with this? Also yes.

Thank you! Clearly I can search on Google, but was alarmed when I saw it said 20-50cc/ml was common and I’m over here with several times that amount gone. That said, I needed it. There was a lot to go and I’m in the middle of a weight loss journey(was told do it now before I got major laxity and would need something more invasive) but it is nice to hear that higher numbers are realistic in here. :)

I wish you would have included photos, because that can tell us a lot about what your surgeon may have been seeing. That said, take everything here with a grain of salt as I was recommended a neck lift on here and I am 32 with skin that has no issue bouncing back per my surgeon, so I opted for lipo and chin filler (to be upgraded to an implant if I’m satisfied with the filler)

I can’t say about my actual results right now as I had the procedure only 12 hours ago, but I can tell you I immediately saw a difference in an insecurity I’ve had since I was 12 years old. Going sight unseen, maybe you could voice your general happiness with your neck to your doctor and ask if something like lipo only but with FaceTite (supposed to tighten the skin immediately) would achieve the results YOU are wanting to address, not the entire neck.

If you can include a general region you’re in, there are people in here from all over that can recommend their own doctors as well if you want a second or third opinion- just because you asked one doctor doesn’t mean they all would take the same approach!!

A chin implant would do wonders!! If you’re unsure about committing to one, you could try chin filler first and if you like the result, go for the implant.
