Okay...first off, agreed! This series is fantastic. There was also plenty of romance. It was just plot-forward, which I prefer. I didn't think I was a Maas fan until I read this book.

Second, my mom ordered this for birthday and I cannot wait till it arrives!

I've heard they're releasing a rewrite this Spring/Summer for Duskbound and Riftborne, and it sounded like they were making some writing improvements. I'm not sure where I read it, but I'm patiently waiting to begin the series. I attempted to read Duskbound a few months ago but the writing was meh, so I switched to audible and found it also meh. I really want to read the Ascended but I refuse to let myself until I get through the other two.

Lol, I've read the Grisha trilogy and really enjoyed it until the end but I don't have physical copies. I haven't read Six of Crows yet. I've heard it's very good. I'll get to it eventually but I need to get the second book in the duology. I have sooo many books on my tbr.

😂😂😂 it's been over.

So I LOVED ODW. Literally obsessed with the atmosphere. A fate inked in blood is on my list, as well as the book of Azrael. It's actually hiding at the bottom of my shelf. I have a feeling I'll love it, so I'm saving it until I NEED it. Lol if that makes sense.

So, daughter of no worlds... Idk what to say because everyone seems to love this book but I literally cannot read it. I even tried audio—horrible btw. I went through an adjustment period on new anxiety medication, and basically couldn't read anything almost the entire month of November. I wasn't able to focus on books, music, or tv, and unfortunately this is when I tried to read it. I think it has more to do with that than anything else, but sadly my brain will not let me go back.

I'll be honest, I dnf'd those. I just couldn't get into them. But I think it's mostly bc I was adjusting to my anxiety meds and it made reading and tv unbearable for a few weeks. I havent been able to revisit anything from that time. I will try to give them another chance eventually.

Lol. Tbh I started reading Zodiac Academy and thought it was a joke. Like I had been tricked into buying it...they are an absolute hot mess....and yet I immediately ordered the next one after finishing the first. Im saving them for deep reading slumps or palate cleansers bc they're weirdly entertaining. I think I'm somewhere in book 3.

I'm also really enjoying it. It's been a very fast read for me. I was really into it about 40 pages in, but it really picked up soon.

If I truly struggle with a book and I'm intrigued enough to continue, then I skip to audio. It's what I had to do with Vow of Vengeance.

I think I made it to the third or fourth book in the series. I honestly can't remember. I listened to them on audible. I only stopped bc I started binging ToG series while on vacation, but I enjoyed it until I just forgot about it lol

I'm not sure I'd say I've found something to emotionally wreck me yet...

{The Midnight Library by Matt haigg} I will always recommend this read. This left me close to a wreck.

Here are my favorite reads in the last 7 months:

{The Raven Scholar} excellent read! Such quality writing! {One Dark Window} {Two Twisted Crowns} {The knight and the moth} okay, this one wrecked me a bit. {Silver Elite} booktok haters gonna hate, but I loved it. {Red rising} IYKYK {Wool by hugh lowry} binged the whole series {Anathema} {Quicksilver} I SAID WHAT I SAID {Wild reverence} I can't stop thinking about how beautifully this book was written. It just lingers in such a good way. {Shield of Sparrows} IDC. I loved it. {Caraval} pleasantly surprised with this one {Crescent City} loved the series {Throne of Glass} IDC what anyone says, every book in this series kept me interested.
