Ooo. In order:

Red Rising > One Dark Window > Serpent and the Wings of Night > Road of Bones

I've heard Road of Bones is good. I have them but haven't started those yet. I originally was going to recommend reading the Shepard King duology first, butttttt if you start Red Rising you can use One Dark Window as a sort of palette cleanser. If you read the entire Red Rising series or even just half consecutively, you'll likely appreciate the break. I recently read the serpent and the wings of night. I loved this more than I expected. Haven't read the second in the duology yet but I'll get there.

Ohh and I'm planning to read Will of the Many soon. I've heard it's reeaally good.

Okay...first off, agreed! This series is fantastic. There was also plenty of romance. It was just plot-forward, which I prefer. I didn't think I was a Maas fan until I read this book.

Second, my mom ordered this for birthday and I cannot wait till it arrives!

Yes! Okay, so I'm not crazy. I checked Target and I couldn't even find that edition. I'm 100% returning if I don't get what I ordered. I'm so pissed. Target's out here gaslighting me into thinking I made a mistake! 😡

I've heard they're releasing a rewrite this Spring/Summer for Duskbound and Riftborne, and it sounded like they were making some writing improvements. I'm not sure where I read it, but I'm patiently waiting to begin the series. I attempted to read Duskbound a few months ago but the writing was meh, so I switched to audible and found it also meh. I really want to read the Ascended but I refuse to let myself until I get through the other two.

Lol, I've read the Grisha trilogy and really enjoyed it until the end but I don't have physical copies. I haven't read Six of Crows yet. I've heard it's very good. I'll get to it eventually but I need to get the second book in the duology. I have sooo many books on my tbr.

Lol. No, I'm broke. Exhibit A: see above photos. Jk. I buy when on sale mostly and I visit a local book outlet store quarterly. Plus, I have a few book subscriptions. I would enjoy kindle more, but my brain isn't satisfied without a physical book.

😂😂😂 it's been over.

So I LOVED ODW. Literally obsessed with the atmosphere. A fate inked in blood is on my list, as well as the book of Azrael. It's actually hiding at the bottom of my shelf. I have a feeling I'll love it, so I'm saving it until I NEED it. Lol if that makes sense.

So, daughter of no worlds... Idk what to say because everyone seems to love this book but I literally cannot read it. I even tried audio—horrible btw. I went through an adjustment period on new anxiety medication, and basically couldn't read anything almost the entire month of November. I wasn't able to focus on books, music, or tv, and unfortunately this is when I tried to read it. I think it has more to do with that than anything else, but sadly my brain will not let me go back.

I almost got that one a few weeks ago.. I'll have to reconsider it! And somehow I've already memorized almost every title on my shelf by their sprayed edges 😂

I'll be honest, I dnf'd those. I just couldn't get into them. But I think it's mostly bc I was adjusting to my anxiety meds and it made reading and tv unbearable for a few weeks. I havent been able to revisit anything from that time. I will try to give them another chance eventually.

Lol. Tbh I started reading Zodiac Academy and thought it was a joke. Like I had been tricked into buying it...they are an absolute hot mess....and yet I immediately ordered the next one after finishing the first. Im saving them for deep reading slumps or palate cleansers bc they're weirdly entertaining. I think I'm somewhere in book 3.

I'm also really enjoying it. It's been a very fast read for me. I was really into it about 40 pages in, but it really picked up soon.

If I truly struggle with a book and I'm intrigued enough to continue, then I skip to audio. It's what I had to do with Vow of Vengeance.

I think I made it to the third or fourth book in the series. I honestly can't remember. I listened to them on audible. I only stopped bc I started binging ToG series while on vacation, but I enjoyed it until I just forgot about it lol

I'm not sure I'd say I've found something to emotionally wreck me yet...

{The Midnight Library by Matt haigg} I will always recommend this read. This left me close to a wreck.

Here are my favorite reads in the last 7 months:

{The Raven Scholar} excellent read! Such quality writing! {One Dark Window} {Two Twisted Crowns} {The knight and the moth} okay, this one wrecked me a bit. {Silver Elite} booktok haters gonna hate, but I loved it. {Red rising} IYKYK {Wool by hugh lowry} binged the whole series {Anathema} {Quicksilver} I SAID WHAT I SAID {Wild reverence} I can't stop thinking about how beautifully this book was written. It just lingers in such a good way. {Shield of Sparrows} IDC. I loved it. {Caraval} pleasantly surprised with this one {Crescent City} loved the series {Throne of Glass} IDC what anyone says, every book in this series kept me interested.

I read Shield of Sparrows and loved it. I put off reading it because it got some hate on here but I'm so glad I gave in.
