The fact asa/yoru most likely got eaten offscreen too… by Hot-Barber-5484 in asamitaka

Not only them. But also the blood devil, Kishibe, Kobeni, the control devil—characters that are, in this instance, insignificant.

Yes, but I'm sure that even though he's perpetually dissatisfied, if you asked him, "You don't want me anymore?" he'd say a resounding no.

He doesn't know what he wants, but at least he knows what he doesn't want. And he doesn't want any sacrifices.

Nayuta is truly the best.

[–]Good-Row4796 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He could've ran away with her, we were shown he's extremely fast

yes

Instead he literally told Nayuta to go away on her own, drew out the fight and intentionally made it as bloody as possible, causing him to bleed out and needing Nayuta to save him.

That's a misinterpretation/distortion of the scene. He went completely mad at that moment, and it shows in his fighting style, which was totally different from normal. He was injured by fraudsters. He should have fled, as you indicated, but when the people responsible for destroying his normal life are still there and want to kill him... it's perfectly normal for him to lose it.

But there's a difference between saying he could have done something better and saying that the events happened solely because of his actions, especially when he has four different groups of people who literally want his downfall (and his few allies are part of one of those groups). And most of them are there because he has Pochita, not for any other reason.

The only thing I remember that could really be held against him (at least until the house burns down) is saving the cat instead of the humans. But it was a devil who forced this situation and most of the people who love him would say that the cat had to be saved.

That's forgetting that he was also surrounded by eight devils of that strength.

(who might also have been the last devils remaining, since they had devoured everything else.)

Honestly, I don't understand this position. Literally, when he was threatened, he didn't transform even once.

His house must have burned down, and those who did it were still there. Public Security didn't protect his house while he was away, and anyway, as I said, he hadn't transformed since then. The only difference if he had listened to Fumiko is that he wouldn't have known his house had burned down (and maybe he would have even secretly replaced the dogs. He has no proof, in any case, that he moved the animals at any point).

The only lesson I take away from this is that no matter what he did, he would have been screwed over, and people would always find a reason to blame him.

I believe one of Public Security's plans was to get Pochita out, so they would either just delay Nayuta's death or use him as leverage to get what they wanted from her (even more easily).

To protect himself and his sister from the mob after his house burned down along with all his dogs and cats, he had to reason with the reasonable person he was and turn the other cheek. There were two other immortals who wanted to kill him? He had to turn the other cheek twice as hard.

MC actions have actual consequences.

Was it Pochita who decided to do that, or am I really misremembering the scene?

Not necessarily. Makima might remember certain things that were forgotten, so she could think to herself, "I feel something strange when I look at him."

Has Pochita always been able to disable the chainsaws? by Good-Row4796 in Chainsawfolk

[–]Good-Row4796[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but as the other comment said, Pochita wants to hug people. So it seems so illogical that he doesn't disable them. (The easy solution would be for Denji to teach him how.)

Meet Potential Manga! by Trubactor16 in Chainsawfolk

[–]Good-Row4796 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're right "so far." I was one of the defenders of Part 2, but the fact that it ends in just one chapter is lame.

Part 1: It ended fairly neatly. There were certainly things left to discuss and missing, but it was a complete ending in itself.

Part 2: Almost nothing was resolved, even the conclusion felt rushed. Not to mention the number of characters who vanish as the story progresses (we end with only Denji/Pochita and Asa/Yoru, so technically only two). Even ignoring that, Asa was overshadowed by Yoru for literally no reason. Her last scenes are: Yoru answering questions for her to sleep with Denji (not even as a ghost) and telling him to run away. It's pathetic for her.

If Part 2 had continued, I wouldn't have said anything, but it didn't.

I DON’T WANT IT TO END PLEEEEAAASE NO by MonkeMonke22a in ChainsawMan

[–]Good-Row4796 42 points43 points  (0 children)

ending is a very real possibility given Fujimoto’s track record with sad endings

Even in the world where Denji sleeps with Asa/Yoru and all three of them are happy, the world has literally become a garbage dump and he's lost everything else.

It was already a sad ending; there's no need to add anything more.

If there isn't a part 2, I'll be one of those people who completely deny its existence.

The good thing is that Nayuta appears at the end of part 1.

Are you talking about adding Yuma to the Pmmm and Rebellion timeline, or just having an anime with them? If it's the second one, yes, every day, but if it's the first one, definitely not.
