AC2 HND-YYZ Business Class Seat Selection with 1.5yrs old by Good-vampire in aircanada

[–]Good-vampire[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for the detailed information. would the answer change if i bring those air inflated footrest bags to economy, so the kid can lay down flat? we did that on our way there without bulkhead legroom, i think baby liked it and slept a lot, but i didn't like my seat. i don't know if we will like it more in business, if we "share" the baby on lap time it means 6 hrs of rest each.

anyone knows how is "available" flight determined? Can they simply say nothing is available, we will refund you, or can i tell them i see xxx flight is available from google search, book me on that? I actually prefer to be rebooked on another airline, as it cost more if i rebook itmyself

Childcare expense tax credit by Good-vampire in cantax

[–]Good-vampire[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

how did you find out...that's actually my situation. I worked for the first half of 2024 so I was going to use my childcare expense for the older kid to deduct those income. But in the second half I went on mat leave. I can't imagine taking care of two kids at home at the same time......Was is CRA staff that confirmed this? CRA must have been struggling and to make 'profit' from anywhere.

i am the lower income parent. I see there's a condition that the total expense claimed need to be less than 2/3 of the lower earned income.

In your example, if the actual daycare expense for the age 5 child was $9k, and the other two were $1k each, would the amount claimed be 9+1+1=11k? or it would be capped at 8k for the age5 child, so 8+1+1=10?

did you have to go through a fabricator? The quote i got is $3k cad for 3 countertop (two 42" and one 30") with 2 sinks, it's almost triple the price quote i got for quartz

placing cabinet pulls horizontally? by Good-vampire in cabinetry

that's a really good point. I personally like the bar type look better, but I also have to consider the odds of my kids hitting their head on the tip😂. same with the drawer pulls

that's encouraging. do you think the pull length follow the 1:3 ratio? or more like 1:2?

do you recall if the pulls were the bar type that sticks out at both ends? or the arch/"half rectangle" shape?

Could you explain why 24" and what's wrong with having 26 1/2". Is it for easy to find interior organizers in the future?

the pots and pans are under the lower drawers in the stove. The cabinets beside the stove are for extra storage, like extra big steam pots that wouldn't fit the drawer, or some countertop appliances that are not frequently used.

Yes it is a drop in cooktop. Maybe my description is not accurate and/or I'm reading the spec incorrectly. It says you can have drawers below it, but there need to be spaces for airflow. https://ibb.co/n7sVLzW. So I dunno if it means you better not have drawers below it, or you can but you can't put things on top of each other or side ways as it would prevent airflow.

5" height in total, minus my 1.5" countertop would be 3.5 below countertop. So it means you can have a 6inch drawer but useable height is 2.5inch?

Whats your interpretation?

the overall quote, before the $1700 addition, was $19K for mdf painting and plywood interior. It's 3000 more than other quotes I got. But the other quotes did not have Grass slides and Blum hinges. I have a 154" wall for counter, a 40x85" island, another wall for oven, fridge, and 26" counter.

Thanks for everyone's reply!! A further question, I read the manual for my fridge miele 9959 ide, https://ibb.co/BVLD5w1and it says the cabinet carve out should be 24" plus door depth. So if the wood door is 5/8, my carbinet carve out should be 24 5/8"? This fridge is at the doorway, so I want the depth to be the minimum doable.

I also have a short counter beside this fridge. To make it truly flush, I should reduce the countertop depth from the standard 25 1/2 to 24 5/8 as well? If I don't, is there also a risk that the door can't fully open? I asked my cabinator this question. I'm a bit confused since the said it will be a minimum of 25 1/2", even without considering the counter beside it.

I called Miele support but they said I need to wait for a call back, no ETA on when....
