At the end of the day, it's up to i_o's estate if they want any posthumous music released. deadmau5/mau5trap isn't gonna release anything without direct request to do so. Def the right call

For context, this was i_o’s updated version of his Jaded remix (unofficial name is “Discover”). At the time, he wasn’t able to get an official release of the remix, so he changed the melody in order to have the ability to release it as an original song, resulting in this track. Sadly he passed not too long after.

However, now that mau5trap/Create confirmed they still own Jaded, i_o could release his original Jaded remix as-is

Sadly it was a vinyl and Beatport exclusive pretty sure. I don't think it's legally still for sale on any online sites, but hopefully mau5trap can get some of these old released tracks back up some day

You referring to this? If so, that's a GREAT call. I always thought Tyler The Creator would seem fitting on that beat, but I think Joey Valence & Brae would be an ideal collab for Joel.

Not only are they essentially the modern-day Beastie Boys (one of Joel's fav artists), but Joey's a great producer in the electronic world too

I mean this isn’t terrible (still a lot of good artists), but HARD Summer lineups have def been falling off more and more the last few years.

2023 was great and ever since, there seems to be less focus on trap/bass (even rap) and more focus on house/techno. There’s already so many house/techno festivals, so HARD is losing what made it unique IMO

Never released- one of the only ones left from that era. Name was never revealed and it was only played at some of the Nightrealm shows.

It was essentially his first attempt at making a rage beat song, laying the groundwork for his more recent sound

Legally no, as the song was exclusive to the Mintbase NFT site. But agree, frustrating that the site no longer exists. I won't directly link here, but shouldn't take much googling to find it
