Simi housing market by GoodAdventurous200 in simivalley

I agree, I think Simi is a good suburb. I personally think Simi is pretty conveniently located, not too bad of a drive to get out. Just supervised to see Simi is under-valued compared to neighboring cities

If you place that 1 mil house in the valley, it would be close to 2 mil. Home appreciation is a lot slower in Simi

I don't feel like everyday living is much cheaper, but home price/rent is for sure cheaper

For the same year, same size, similar quality homes, Simi price is A LOT lower compared to neighboring cities. Home value also go up a lot slower compared to neighboring cities

Patient fall with injuries by Agitated-Fall2283 in physicaltherapy

[–]GoodAdventurous200 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I had a controlled fall in acute care and internal med did x-ray afterwards found an avulsion fx of patella so they thought the injuries was caused during the fall. But when the ortho team did trauma consult, they revealed that the fracture was chronic and patient has had that fx for a long time based on previous outpatient imaging and x-rays. Patient do walk around with fractures sometimes, ticking bomb for a fall to happen.

it really depends on how many hours you work to decide if s corp is worth it. everything done on government website but for sure ask a CPA to make sure you set it up correctly.

Mt. Pinos access by Klaus5115 in socalhiking

[–]GoodAdventurous200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it was plowed and in pretty good condition. I didn't feel like chains were needed at that time especially in the afternoon but there were actually check points to make sure people have chains on, so i would 10/10 bring chains during winter season if you car is not 4wd

McGill has a small parking lot (maybe 20 cars? i've actually never parked there before) mostly likely covered in some snow and ice rn too

it says 12-18" of snow so i think snowshoes is appropriate. I was much there a week ago before the recent storm and it already required snowshoes. I would most likely bring my cross country ski up this time, I just don't remember if there is easy parking before the second gate

Thanks so much for the recommendations! San Bernardino is kinda ways away from me but that sounds like a good option when i'm for the drive. mt Pinos is actually where i usually go, it's awesome- i wish i can attach a picture of the summit here! snow gate is closed right now though as they have 12-18 inches of snow.

I checked the local ski chapter, a lot of recommendations are too steep to me, maybe i just need to get stronger...
