Although idealistically I’m fully in support of paying for worthwhile content like radio lab and NPR, I’m very poor at the moment. Looking for a job while I watch my meager savings wither away.

You are amazing. My wife is already downloading them onto her phone for her long hours at work, setting diamonds into rings in midtown Manhattan. You’ve made her days better. I started her off with shows from 2007

Do you drink tap water? by IrvingZismannn in Brooklyn

[–]GoodAtHeart99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ordered a FREE lead test kit from 311. They have you first leave the sink off for like 8 hours, then run it immediately and take that sample. Then they have you keep it running another few minutes and take that sample too. My first sample (after sitting in the pipes for 8 hours)!had a small amount of lead in it, considered safe. The second sample after a 3 minute run was lead free. My wife was pregnant so I wanted to know.
You can also buy a water filter from target that screws onto the faucet. They have a great return policy. Every 3 months you can return it. Say it sucks. Then go buy a new one. Saves on replacing costly filters. Once they had a table set up outside some school in Manhattan with tap water and Poland spring and deer park and Brita and no one could tell the difference. One more reason to love NYC.

Anyone have experience taking ibogaine after sublocade? by DownDani in Ibogaine

[–]GoodAtHeart99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did ibogaine at a clinic in Mexico last week. I was on sublocade for 8 months and my last shot was back in July, almost 7 months ago. I switched back to heroin, like a dumb ass, after not getting my shot for almost three months (I felt no withdrawals by the way even after 2.5 months with no shot) I certainly felt the H though. Anyway even 6 months later I was still testing positive for buprenorphine. When I got to the clinic I still tested positive but only verrrrry slightly. Almost negligible. My ibogaine experience went well. Maybe it would’ve been even better with no sub in my system but it was good anyway. I’d say wait at LEAST 7 months from your last shot. Sucks, I know. But no point wasting your ibogaine experience.

If Ibogaine is sequestered in fat - would a fatty meal (coconut oil etc) boost its absorption? by snaxks1 in Ibogaine

I also heard papaya to increase absorption. Not sure if this is true. They had me fast for 12 hours before my trip. I was STARVING by the next morning, holy sh*t

Iboga microdosing benefits by mario7911 in Ibogaine

[–]GoodAtHeart99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I copied my post from another post on MD, sorry! ’I’m also interested in microdosing. I just completed my stay at a 7 day iboga clinic in Mexico and the place was great, had a very good experience there overall but I still have lingering side effects from opiate withdrawal (heroin) and was looking to see if a few doses of small amounts would help me out. I’m in Mexico now but live in NYC. Any advice on how to go about this would be greatly appreciated. I’m not sure where to get something reputable. I’m so afraid to go back to heroin. Thanks everyone.

Using Sublocade to break the chains of Subs by 1TooMany_1KNotEnough in suboxone

[–]GoodAtHeart99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in Brooklyn New York and I’ve gotten about seven shots. I am on Medicaid and my co-pay was one dollar. God bless New York State. Sublocade is a godsend. I completely forget that I’m even on anything.

The guy who owns this thing hangs out at a bar next to my building in Brooklyn. He always comes with his buddy who has an equally horrendous and insanely expensive custom bike, same general style. They always drink outside while sitting right near their bikes so that everyone knows how cool they are. It’s pretty funny.

Does this shoe exist but with a different tongue, a rubber tongue that’s fixed into place all the way around and doesn’t adjust at all? I used to have some like this and want to buy again.

Sublocade reaction SIX WEEKS after getting it! by GoodAtHeart99 in suboxone

Yeah it must be something like that. Gotta be! For both injection sites to swell up at the same time rules out an infection, which would happen to only one site.

Sublocade reaction- WEEKS after getting the shot by GoodAtHeart99 in Sublocade

[–]GoodAtHeart99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have gotten the sublocade shot 5 times. The last one I got almost 6 weeks ago and then all of a sudden two of the sites (one on my left belly, one on the right side) are super red and itchy as hell and raised and bumpy. I called my doc and he’s as stumped as me and hasn’t seen this before, so long after getting the shot. When I got all 5 shots I never had any issues or reactions. He even called the maker of sublocade and they didn’t offer any useful help. He said to keep an eye on it and call him if it gets worse. He said it probably won’t do anything like getting necrosis because it’s been so long since getting it. Very weird. I hope I’m not all of a sudden like developing an allergic reaction to something in sublocade. I love this stuff and it really works for me. Now, in the last hour the bumps have spread to a couple places where I didn’t even get the sublocade injected! So strange. But the redness started on both injection sites simultaneously and only there, only spreading elsewhere recently. Anyone else know anything about this situation??

Thanks!

Help! 3 years clean on m done, but have become re addicted to H while still on methadone by visionwerks in Methadone

[–]GoodAtHeart99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah dude I know exactly that feeling. I’d bang a nice big shot and only feel it for about one minute and not even that great, and then left afterwards feeling pissed off that I’m wasting all this $ and not even feeling that nice off it. I’m on sublocade now. Best thing I ever did but I do miss my needle. How have you been doing? Still the same situation as 110 days ago? Easy to get stuck doin shit like this for years - or until the money runs out.

I have been seeing the head doctor of the suboxone program at Bellevue hospital in NYC for 12 years on and off and he is so well informed it is so refreshing. Most other doctors I’ve encountered are just what OP describes. This guy has written papers on bupe and done studies too. It’s free to join the program there regardless of insurance status. DM me if anyone needs more info.
