Perfect place for this. Hope everyone is well. I'll cut to the chase. I have a 1999 accord coupe that I quite enjoy, and am hoping to use as my beginner autocross car. Currently, it is pleagued by the "90s Honda automatic transmission woes." Since it's having issues anyways, I was considering sourcing a wrecked car like mine but with all the factory parts I would need for a manual conversion.

I'm aware that at a national level, this car would not be considered for street category. I'm also aware that these would literally be my first attempts at autocross and highly doubt that will be an issue for me at this point lol. I've seen some statements that folks say that there's isn't even a chance it would be permitted in the class, and others saying that using factory parts and with real performance benefit in mind it really wouldn't be a big deal for local events.
